Speculation: Underworld Armor

dont know if anyone else noticed but during wintersday a child called Niwah mentioned this:

"And I want a full set of armor for every profession from the Underworld for when I finally get to choose my own profession!"

and also some tidbit about a new minipet maybe?

"And then I want the collector's edition Koss action figure with the "Koss!" battle cry!"


100% speculation but dont you think they might have finally got around to creating UW armor?

Just a typo it may be, but I think it'd be cool to have the choice of two super-expensive, prestige armor sets. A counterpart to the Eternal Forgemaster somewhere in UW that can craft a different style.

Now, if only I could afford either of them... *looks at his 1 ecto and 3 ob. shards, sniffles*

In my view OP is reading way too much into NPC text.

"Underworld armor" refers to Fissure armor and the Koss action figure thing is a joke just like the red tripleshot ranger or whatnot that the other kid wanted.

Some of the NPCs in Kamadan didn't even any make sense because their text was copy and pasted from the Lion's Arch NPCs and it didn't make sense in the context of a Kamadan resident saying it.

In conclusion, don't take the NPC text literally.

Thread title is highly misleading in my view. It makes people think UW armor is coming and have to click on the OP to see that it's not.

Its probably Anet playing on the rumors of armor in Underworld a year ago.

I remember many thinking that maybe there was an Underworld armor crafter since there was a Fissure Crafter in FoW.

Obsidian armor was moved from UW to FoW after the game's release, so don't get your hopes up.

Also, it only makes sense Lore-wise that the Eternal Forgemaster be in the Fissure, not in the Underworld. The Fissure is Balthazar's realm, in the Temple of War, where the Forgemaster equips Balthazar's warriors.

but, we do need another set of high end armor. It's getting hard to find female monks without fow armor (dyed black usually)

It would be cool if there comes UW armor, but I hope they'll give us more info about it if it's true before I spend the money I'm saving now on a FoW armor. I'm at 400k now and a few ecto's, would be shame if the UW one was ways more wicked then the FoW and I already bought it. :S

Loads of people walk these days with FoW armor, althought the amount of Rits having FoW armor is really low, even lower then the amount of dervishes having fow, maybe 1st place it the paragon.

And this is why ArenaNet needs to be more direct with humor...

wile it would be one of the greatest things A-Net has done in recent times, i could not see it happening. i just crafted my 2nd set of FoW armor last night (for a female ele) and i must say it would be a bit of a let down to see it degrade in value after saving and farming non-stop for one month (Solo FoW FTW) although it would be an interesting twist if the made all the costs and mats exactly the same for each set and for each profession for the UW and FoW armor and just switced out diamonds for the shards,,,that way ecto would still be worth lots (and for the first few months way lots ) anyway's i am getting ahead of myself.

Obsidian Armor and Diamond Armor... hmm, that would be so cool. Armor with a chance to blind foes with its awesome shininess?

But the use of Diamonds are still unknown, and there are many god realms that can be created. Also, Gaile has said something about a new concept for people to max their lightbringer and sunspear title *currently not possible*, so the armor might be there.
