Well, I don't know about 1 and 2 ...

For 3, unless it's a rare skin, I'd say merchant or save for your heroes.
For 4, 10-30k??? I'm not real sure on those yet.
For 5, I don't know exactly but you should not merchant it! Those are considered rare and the req is low. Maybe 20k? Probably more if the mods were good. I'm really not sure of anything other than you shouldn't merchant that.

Like all caster stuff, it takes more time and effort to find buyers, but the buyers are out there. Like all stuff traded in GW period, you'll sell it a lot faster if you sell it cheap.
