I few people have said that one thing they would love to see is new content in older campaigns.
New quests.
New missions.
New weapons.
New skills.
etc etc etc...
But I see an issue. Im not sure whether this could be done effectively without new map areas being added. Otherwise you would end up with most of these new tasks being added to existing areas and it feeling repetative.
Just returning to areas we already know to kill this boss or that boss, or escort this NPC here or there, or find this chest or do this puzzle in an area we already know.
New content would need to have new map areas to feel like truly new.
But adding new map areas is not an option. Simply because it would invalidate the grandmaster cartographer and KOABD title. Speaking for someone who has 100% on all 3 and KOABD, I wouldnt be impressed if new explorable areas were added to old campaigns.
It could result in expanded the exploration needed, so we loose our titles
or it wouldnt count to exploration and the title wouldnt be realistic.
Both something I wouldnt personally want to happen.
But I could be wrong. Perhaps new content could be added without needing new map areas. Perhaps they could add new areas in the fasion of SF, UW or FOW where it doesnt perminantly remove the fog of war.
Plus adding new content inside areas similar to Sorrows Furnace reduces the amount of update needed for older campaigns. All you need to do is add an NPC or an exit to an existing town to enter them.
I dont mind how they do it, aslong as they dont add new map areas which would add the exploration needed. Not that I expect they will as they have said they wont change previous campaigns.
If old campaigns get new content, please DONT add new map areas...

I fail to see how this doesn't belong in your previous thread, Should future expansions be indepedant or require owning previous campaigns? Keep it in one thread, please, in the right forum. Closed.
