I wanna buy a new system because the one I have now is getting on a bit. If anyone can recommend any decent pc set-ups for playing this from between about £500-£700, seeing as I don't have much cash atm, please tell me. I'm looking at these two systems atm, here are the specs:

- AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.40GHz (Socket AM2)
- ABIT KN9S nForce 550 (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
- GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC5300C4 667MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
- OcUK GeForce 7900 GS 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
- Seagate 160GB SATA-II 8MB Cache

Here's the other one
- Acer Aspire E500-B8D7H - Pentium D 820 2.8 GHz
- Processor: 1 x Intel Pentium D 820 / 2.8 GHz ( Dual-Core )
- Cache Memory: L2 Cache
- RAM: 1 GB (installed) / 2 GB (max) - DDR II SDRAM - 400 MHz - PC2-3200
- Hard Drive: 1 x 250 GB - standard - Serial ATA-150
- Graphics Controller: PCI Express x16 - NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE - 512 MB

The first one costs £570 and the second one £470.

Could somebody tell me how well this could run GW including if I was to install Factions and Nightfall as well. Like I said if anyone can suggest systems within my price range that would be a great help too.

The top one would easily run GW at max settings without a problem, plus it's the better of the two rigs too. I notice you went for the OcUK graphics card, that's a damn fine choice. I have the OcUK 7900GS 512MB PCI-e in this system and it's a screamer, at the moment it's clocked faster than a 7900GT. Then again, this entire PC is built from OcUK as it's just 5 mins up the road from me so I can call in rather than ordering online.

Thanks for the help, handy for you then OcUK being just up the road lol, I was looking through their website and came across the system I posted the specs for above and I thought it looked decent enough so I just decided I'd double check on here.

You could also ask the guy's and gals over at the OcUK forums to spec you a system within a certain price.

Generally, use the top forum 'General Hardware' to get a system specced up. They're a great bunch and very knowledgable when it comes to systems. Then again I may be biased as my Guild, The Godless, is an OcUK Guild.

Intel's core2duo conroe's kick the $hit out of AMD currently, for a similar price.

Also, get an ATI x1950, better than nvidias midrange cards.
