Best places to visit in all of GW?
jktstance
What are some of the best areas in GW to explore? For instance, I enjoy exploring The Falls (Tyria), what with the temple there and the great waterfall at the end. I've also found the lake in Mount Quinkai (Cantha) to looks very very nice, definitely screenshot worthy. Watchtower Coast in Tyria was also quite striking.
I still need to see the temple at the botom of Snake Dance and well as explore all of Sorrow's Furnace. In Cantha or Elona, I have not done much exploring so far, but the Jade Sea looks fantastic as does Vabbi. In terms of PvP areans, I've never been to HoH, which is the only thing I can think of in pvp that has a striking environment.

One of my favourite areas is in Kinya Province on the starter island in Cantha, more specifically called Onghsang Island. Its in the north west of the area and offers nice views out to sea, including several shipwrecks and a lighthouse of sorts.
Other places that come to mind are in the Frost Gate mission (after the cinematic mid way through the mission, one of the paths takes you to the top of a cliff, and has a view of the rest of the mission), the plateau of the Arid Sea, and the sparkly areas of the Nahpui Quarter mission and the Holdings of Chokhin.

Unique Best Place: Pre-Searing Ascalon (Prophecies)
freekedoutfish
Grenches monument/temple between beacons perch and the war camp. to the right of the path.
Its beautifull in there and since not alot of people explore that section, its rarely seen.

I love Shing Jea, more specifically, the Monastery, always will be one of my favorite places, the best place to sit and do nothing. But quite a few others have a striking appeal to them, and yes, Pre-Searing is nice too.

Presearing Ascalon is very nice, I agree.
Another place I recommend is Bukdek Byway (I think), along the Western coast of the main Canthan continent. Up on a cliff in a section where the city hasn't reached yet, you can get a very nice view of the sea.

Outside Ice Toothe Cave there is a mountain called Anvil Mountain, for good reason. i 'climbed' to the top of it, and it is one of the best shots in GW. There was a travel guide/7 wonders of Tyria awhile back that did this kinda thing. Would be interesting to see if anything was made of it.
Coloneh
My favorite is this big giant snowy mountain. its just north of droks, through the troll cave, past the giants, past the giant group of tengu, and past some shadows. its absolutely gorgeous, but good luck getting there, its a long fight without a spirit bonder.
Sir Skullcrasher
I remember it's one of the area in Underworld where it looked like a huge temple.

My hands down favorite is Mineral Springs. That area looks as if someone took a picture rather then created it. After you've killed everything the only sound is your feet crunching in the snow.
Running a close second, presear. I just wish there was more to it.

My 3 favs are:
Lions Arch - looking out at the ship in the distance and the little fishy swimming just off the shore.
Camp Rankor - Looking out over the Sorrows Furnace, reminds me of Sarumans Tower in LOTR looking out over his orcs.
Jahai Bluffs (sp?) - The huge waterfall next to the massive clay towers.

A large treehouse I saw in an explorable area in Kurzick turf.
Anywhere in the S. Shivers.
Presear, in the forest with the bear hunters. My brother and I wandered around on rangers, hunting bear and drinking ale. Was great fun, and looked gorgeous.

Lmao Roflus
Watchtower Coast, Fisherman's Haven, Kessex Peak, Majesty's Rest, Twin Serpant Lakes, Deldrimor War Camp, and that Mineral Springs cave area.
Some of these places are well known, some kind of obscure but it is some of the best Tyria has to offer.
Tyria places really stick to me since it had alot of areas where you didn't even need to visit, which made exploration so much more interesting. With Factions and Nightfall, they sort of press exploration on you making it seem less of an epic camping trip journey.

Since no one has mentioned it, the lava falls in FoW are pretty spectacular.

Tears of the Fallen. It's a nice place but I only mentioned it because I think it has the coolest name... <_< Otherwise, I'd really like to explore more of Mehtani Keys. That's an ingame vacation spot right there.
I'd also like to give a nod to the Domain of Fear in RoT... It was one of the few places to really WOW me. There's something awe-inspiring whenever I see those HUGE claws in the skyline. That place taught me to actually look up every once in a while.

For me it has to be Dragons Lair, Tyria. I know it's a mission but it has some of the most beautiful scenery in all of the 3 campaigns so far.
A very close second would be Southern Shiverpeaks.

Two places in the Underworld, Grenth's Monument int he Chaos Planes. The blue mists rising from the chasms is pretty cool looking. The other place is Grenth's Monument in the Twin Serpent Mountains. From there you can look out across nearly all of the Underworld. After those, then Serenity temple when we have favor and Grenth's temple in Lornar's Pass.
Cow Tale
the birch trees in mineral springs! the waterfall next to spiritgarden in the eternal grove explorable is pretty sweet lookin too.
some guy
Most parts of Shing Jea island!
Vabbi is cool too, floating trees and carpet bridges ftw!

Tyria:
The Falls
Twin Serpent Lakes
Dry Top- just for the buildings there
Cantha:
Drazach Thicket
Zen Daijun explorable- out by the docks
Monastery Overlook - it's neat to look all the way to Seitung Harbor
Elona:
I haven't explored Elona as much as I want to. nothing springs to mind except maybe the Lahtenda Bog, Mehtani Keys...

Dolmens in Talmark Wilderness -- a lovely place, I'm surprised that not many people ever bother to get there.
Balthazar's Temple in the Falls.
The "back path" in Ring of Fire -- some amazing lava pools there.
In Thunderhead Keep, the Jade Portal of the Mursaat and a view at the mountains outside the keep.

I really like the looks of Sorrow's Furnace best.

The ring of fire looks awesome, I loved exploring perdition rock with my ranger. I also like the realm of torment, shing jea and pre searing

For me, I love Pre-searing, Kryta, The Falls (in the maguuma jungle), Dragon's Lair (seeing the reflections on the icy parts at the end of each facet is just beautiful), Shing Jea, Melandru's Hope, the entire Jade Sea, Issnur Isles and Mehtani Keys. I love the scenery there and sometimes I'll take a character through there just to admire it.
