Another thought for eles...
Trylo
ok im not saying they suck, some of their skills are good. Sandstorm is now my preffered elite. but theres still that minor energymanagement problem that the energy storage attribute doesnt fix. you could easily just say stop spamming spells like a madman, but isnt that what eles are for?
My idea:
Energy Storage: For every point of energy storage you gain +3 maximum energy. At level 5 you gain +1 energy renegeneration while energy is above 80%. At level 10 you gain +1 energy regeneration while energy is above 65%. At level 15 you gain +1 energy regeneration while energy is above 50%.
So, if you spam nice little 5 energy spells you can actually afford to do it (and at least attempt to compete with a war's normal attack). If you want to use 25 energy spells you will have to weigh your options, will i lose those 2 energy pips that i need to cast smoothly? will it be worth it? hopefully this will add another dimension to your skill selection, making those costly spells seem a little less daunting, and allowing you to keep casting those 10 energy spells when they recharge, instead of spamming ether prod.

Theres nothing wrong with the attribute, you might want to check your build.
If you have 7 attack skills + 1 healing skill of course your gonna run out of energy, you gotta learn to manage your energy like everyone else.
Tip : Elemental attunment + fire/air/water/earth attunment is bascily free energy costing skills.

It's pretty balanced acrost the board now, but the energy management idea could be put to use in a new class.
If you want more regen for energy, find a necro and make him your bestest friend, and have him buff you wherever you go.
Goals in GW.
First, make a build with 2 professions that can compliment eachother.
Second, build a party/partner in which you compliment eachother.

Eles can't spam 5e skills! NOES!
CALL THE CAREPOLICE
fyi no other class can afford to spam insta-recharging 5e skills on recharge, so why should the ele?
It's not like you HAVE to spam 5e skills on recharge to have a good ele build. (actually quite the opposite(exept for blinding surge eles))
Ele energy management isn't underpowered as it is. Don't buff it.

No no....
Unlimited energy = hell
Would ele almost invincible...!
Maybe using an attunement and spamming less skills would help ?
Anyway... i spam searing flames and other 10e+ skills with or without attunement and never have problems.... Maybe having a +42e-2 regen combo would help in tight situations ?

Attunements, Glyphs, other energy management spells, these are the tools of the wise elementalist. He who can not be bothered to bring some energy management skills does not deserve to be able to endlessly spam spells.

Try using Ether Prism. If you're good with Weapon Switching it's a really good skill. If you aren't good with Weapon Switching...pass on it.

Before searing flames came out, I would almost sign this given that in terms of damage dealing, els were weaker than warriors or sassis. Now it sounds a little overpowered.
IMO you should use elemental attunement, glyph of lesser energy, or something along those lines. Oh and try not to spam if you don't know when to. Energy management is an important part of being an el, just like knowing how to build ade is important to warriors.

The energy management skills available to Elementist make them almost continous casters, save only for Exhaustion spells, which most other classes can't even afford to use. I think the problem is the skills they can use that energy on. Consider this, you have 4 attack spells, 2 of them have a 15 second or more cast time, and the other 2 have 5 to 8 second recasts. That is simply too long. The spell cost more energy, it should do more damage, that is the identity of the class. Reducing the recast on spells like Fireball and just about everything else is a need for this class, they don't have any actuall attack power, outside of spells, they are simply twiddling their thumbs.
Between Elemental Attunment and Glyph of lesser energy, your doin quite well. But for those who would rather use dual attunement and common spells, they need more casting and less twiddling. I would even take 2 copies of fireball if I could, I think dual attunement with MoR and 2 fireballs would be better than SF.

Energy storage is crap. It doesn't even do anything. It just makes your energy bar hold more but has no real effect on energy gain, which is by far superior to storage. I actually believe that energy storage is a hindrance due to the long recharge after a fight.
Give elementalists more regeneration please. Thats why their skills cost more.

Elems have brilliant energy management skills, much better then any other class.
I have Zhed carry song of power and use it in between each mob. Give that a try.

geez... you ppl dont have to say the same thing OVER AND OVER. its stupid.
plus we all know those energymanagement skills. its ele basics. The point is im tired of using those same boring elites for energy management, ever think MAYBE, just MAYBE i wanted to throw in that lightning surge or mind freeze? and plus if youre going to use ether prism its a must to bring glyph of concentration (at least if youre talking pvp) ele attunement... its strippable... i mean it kinda works but meh.
When in pve (which is what i think most of you are talking about) i usually use around 5 energy storage. its totally useless. if you have half a brain you can find enough energy management to keep you at full. Glowstone, Glowing Gaze, attunements... its very simple.
Lets see, if i cannot spam 5 energy spells, i do less damage than a warrior normally attacking. yay. probably less than a ranger at that. and im positive less than a paragon. (no competition with a dervish... they have a fireball packed into each attack...)
stop whining about how its easy to beat pve. few of the comments seem to have been based towards pvp, which is where the ele starts lacking more and more compared to other classes

yes, Searing Flames is really lacking... I see what you mean about the whole PvP thing.

Don't spam then...Eles were meant to deal a great amount of damage at set times, not just to spam spells over and over doing measly damage.

SF < Cuartery + Mending touch.
SF < Extinguish.
SF < Ward Against Harm.
SF < Ward Against Elements.
SF < MOVING OUT OF THE WAY.
SERIOUSLY PEOPLE
How is this overpowering the ele? at 80%+ you get 1 (COUNT IT 1!) more energy per second than other caster classes after putting 15!!! in your main attribute. This will barely let you spam 5e spells with attunement. Im trying to find ways to make eles do decent damage outside of their big spells... EVERYONE knows that they cannot out damage a warrior consistently (its been proven, if you dont beleive me go ask ensign.... etc...), i doubt they could even outdamage a paragon or a ranger.

Due to the fact that in the Prima guidebook and even on Guild Wars main web-site they say that the Elementalist is the highest damage dealer, NC-Soft has done their best to geld them into nothing more than a PVE character for nukeing major mobs into oblivion. Something needs to be done or they will be a class that will not even be a second thought to most new players. Armor is one of their week points that could do with an upgrade, but that will still not elevate them to the place they were supposed to hold. The skill base is there just needs to be set right so that the damage that is supposed to be done is. Most of the Elementalist skills are supposed to ignore armor but as I have seen they don't. Hit a Warrior in the real world with Searing Flames and see how fast he comes out of the now oven he is wearing. Hit one in Guild Wars and they pretty much shrug it off. Most of the Elementalist skills are this way and need fixing. And for those that feel Elementalists are overpowered, they were supposed to be that way from the start of Profecies.
