Do Monolith's work for Abadon or not?

Sorry but i need help understanding this, as far as i know Monolith's are not part of Abadons minions yet they are there trying to free his shackles and attack us as we try to take him out. At the shrines in torment area's we can evan get Lightbringer points for clearing areas they inhabit so to me they must be part of his crew and yet! Lightbringers Gaze does'nt work on them, niether does the signet.

This is not a flame thread i just want to be clear on the subject, if Monolith's are abadons creatures then why does LBG or the LB Sig not work on them? if there not then how come we get lb points for them as if they were?

You can get LB points for killing elemental creatures as well, yet they're not part of Abaddons army.

My suspicion would be that they are animated constructs created by Abaddon and/or his minions, but since they aren't really alive themselves, they don't posess whatever quality that makes the Lightbringer skills work against Abaddon's living minions.

lb signet and gaze seem to only work on fleshy things ( i know margonites are far from 'fleshy' but they're close enough >_>) so because they're stone.. maybe? I dunno..

Monoliths are some kinda of elemental creatures/things activated by the apocacrypta. They may not actually have there own mind, they seem to be mindless automations but they are allied to Abaddons forces since we all know the reading/awakening of the apocacrypta was a big part of Nightfall.
