Small sound bug

Since December 22 i have noticed that when the option "mute when on background" is on it doesnt work!Now when i'm looking in a web page and i wait for something on the background i hear the music or the fight or whatever is on.Can it be fixed?

To be honest, mine still mutes when it's in the background...

Mine only does that on the log in screen. Its annoying as hell, I hate those wind/sea noises!

You are lucky...I'm experiencing really bad problems. Ever connected a 5.1 system and activated the "surround sound" and "EAX" options? Duh....
I already got used to missing sounds during fights, but since I have a surroundsystem I'm also plagued by various looped noises depending on where I go. It's not really reproducable and it's only guildwars that causes troubles

How are you Minimizing the game?
It does the same thing for me however only when I alt-tab the game , works fine when I actually click the minimize button.

Yep, you have to actually click on the minimize button to get it to mute reliably.

Out of boredom I now formatted a partition on my secondary harddisk to do a fresh install of gw. Started the download yesterday evening before going to bed (the background download on the loiding scrren) and just aborted it.... my gw.dat is now at ~35GB.
