I can beat you with one hand tied behind my back!
MSecorsky
How's that for a fun weekend of PvP insanity? A "One hand behind my back" event would, in my eye, be a PvP event in the arenas where you only have one hands worth of skills (four) available. Make due with less!
Thoughts?
Thoughts?
Dr Strangelove
Physicals would dominate it, as they still do ridiculous amounts of damage without using skills.

I mean... is there some sort of benefit to this? I guarantee the average player is going to cry, whine, and complain like you wouldn't believe.
Are we getting double XP? More gold? More drops? More anything? Or are we just supposed to be thankful for the privilege of having 4 less skills than we normally do.

Just something new and different for one of ANets varied weekend events. They would of course be free to add any tidbits or rewards.

I do agree with Dr Strangelove about the physical thing and it's not going to be 100% mesmers against 100% warriors. No, a lot of the mesmers will put up an anti-caster build, and therefore they're screwed against a warrior/assassin/ranger/paragon/dervish.
Jetdoc
I like the idea - although I agree that it will be very easy to create a build that would dominate all other 4 skill builds.
It at least would encourage a bit more innovation in the game (and cause players to look at underutilized skills), which is a good thing.

Three skills and a res sig, oh joy.
Anyway, does the person saying "I can beat you with one hand tied behind my back!" expect the opponent to have one hand tied as well?

Why hello there. Welcome to another edition of "Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Guild Wars Legacy".
I find this idea interesting, but not very viable, sadly. It'd be a whole lot of fun for a select few builds though, that only ever have operated on three to four skills anyway...

Have at 'ye! Anyways I think it would be a very interesting idea especially if it was 1v1. Though I was wondering, would you not be allowed to wield a shield or a focus since you have your hand tied behind your back? Or is the "hand behind the back" just referring to the "skill rings" on your fingers?

Could be funny, would also promote innovation - for a short while at least.

A temporary arena for this would be entertaining. The reward would definitally have to be greater faction/experience gain.
That little touch ranger skillbar up there sent me to my happy place... *shudder*

lol.. would be an odd weekend.. but only have it for CA .. GvGs would be... just wow so not in GvGs but CA's sure

Was thinking just a weekend event...
and got to wondering what little builds you could wrap around Signet of Illusions. Hmm.
I also did consider the "only one hand available" twist, but that would ruin it for assassins, so let's leave it with only four skills available.

I'd rather have a 2 elite skills weekend. Then people will finally see why some mediocre elites are elites.
Oath shot abuse anyone?
