interesting email from Gaile Gray :)

I do believe she answered your question. Apperently in ordr to remove a person from a district they must mark it and the programmers do not have time to look at every case by themselves. A little extreme? Yes. Uncalled for? Not sure but yoiu were asked to leave when you didn't that prompted action. Sorry about the ban.

if this is true, and you were banned (posthumously temporarily), because you weren't going along with what Gaile wanted at the time, that's very aggregious. I don't particularly care what her reasons are, because of some cinematrographer, or storage space or time, what you do with your time, within the EULA agreement, should be your business.
I would also consider this being brought to the light to be embarrassing for Anet, considering how they conduct themselves.
again, if this is indeed the case. Since Gaile is named, I'm sure she could speak to this.

That's pretty low.
First, you refuse to act with a game-friendly spirit and against a GM's suggestions. Not to mention the fact that they were trying to make a video for US about Wintersday.
Then you send them a ticket asking what you did wrong when you already knew the answer.
You then proceed to post a private email, in which Gaile kindly took her time to answer. I'm not Gaile Gray, but I'm a person and I know I wouldn't appriciate this.
Jerk is an understatement. EULA or not, what you did was wrong, especially when other people are taking their time and effort to make something for you. I'm glad you had to sit this one out for 3 days, but apparently, you didn't learn anything (shown in your irresponcibility posting this). Stop ruining the game for other people; some of us would have enjoyed seeing a movie clip like that.

Yes, maybe he wasn't complying with Gray's orders, and I can understand him getting booted from the district. But banned from playing the game he payed for, for however long, is a little extreme in my little opinion. Like others have said, I'd really need more info on what he/she did (other than the "fooling around") in order to form a more solid opinion, but as long as he wasn't breaking the EULA in some way I don't see why he should have been banned. Maybe if he was booted from the district and just kept coming back, just to be a jerk and harass people, then yeah, give him a "timeout".
