Dyeing Unique(Green) weps

is there a reason why we cant dye them? if this have been brought up before im sorry but i tried "Dyeing Unique weapons and Dyeing green weps" in search and nothing came up >.>

Becouse they are unique ^^

Btw, you can dye the Straw Effigies

i can understand not being able to dye a green where the skin is only on that wep like Mallyx's axe but what about weps that have normal skins?

You still can't dye them....

As for "why" ... I'd hazard a guess that its because they are supposed to be unique..... not numerically... but representative of a particular person's particular weapon.... If you recoloured it then it wouldn't be representative of that person's weapon any more.


Besides.... I far prefer golds... Plenty of nifty skins there. I replaced my Jewelled Staff (Illusion Magic) with a Celestial Staff lately.... just because the latter was a bit better..... but its got nothing on the awesomeness of the Platinum Staff I found a bit later (and I'm going to create a Ritualist JUST to use that staff, which is Communing-based as I recall).

Yep, I think if we could modify greens (modify colour or whatever), it would deduct some of what makes golds extra special. Golds should always have a high value and nothing beats identifying a perfect gold.

(Well getting a green in the first few weeks of Sorrow's Furnace, but we'll never get that back )

Greens when they drop are like the ultimate drop but when you have played long enough and got golds and modded them, they lose something.

When I first started playing I thought that some greens were unbeatable and will never forget Sskia`s sword dropping for me whilst the henchies stomped all over it and I ignored the rest of the enemies to pick it up. Then after a while I realised it was just a Furious Wicked Blade of Fortitude with a unique name.

Now like many others I want golds, mods and dyes for my own unique and the heroes can have the greens untill I have the golds they need.

Also consider alot of those green weapons already are dyed versions of a normal skin.
