The easy accessability of Guild Wars is its greatest advantage, especially in PvP. However, it does limit the depth of PvE...that's what World of Warcraft is for.

Glad to hear you like it but as you can tell from the person posting above me it does have it's downsides.

I can only agree, as someone else that generally doesn't care for MMO's, that this is a fantastic game. And mind you, I say that as someone who was playing the game from November of 2005, and a primarily PvE player to boot. You'll find that most of the detractors have been playing the game for ages and ages. They seem to be suprised that one can get bored with a game after playing for hundreds if not thousands of hours. For me, at least, this game's had one of the longest runs of any in my library and shows no sign of ceasing to entertain me anytime soon. When it inevitably does get old some day I hope I'll have the grace to leave quietly.

Another positive thread, you can never get tired of those.
First it was reconnects (godsend^^), now Anet is really taking a step up to improve their communications as well as increasing the community's involvement in what changes are made to the game. That's definately something worth keeping.

Somehow i have the idea that people who played magic the gathering tend to like gw more then others..
perhaps something about limited choices in your builds or so :P
and of course it's nice to hear someone saying he likes gw instead of flaming gw because of some vage reason...

Although all the good and bad things from Guild Wars, I just love it too. Just hope that the game can keep inovating and bring new things to motivate people to keep playing.

I don't guildwars because all players have been spead out over the campaigns so when i started a new character there was like no chance of getting a party in prophecies or factions....not to mention a monk....henchmen are lame i like to play with people...I liked guildwars alot better when the first campaign came out and there was just alot of people around to do quests with and stuff....maybe i'm just lonely

Yep...more love coming from this corner.

Every game has it's downsides, but GW has more positive then negative. Especially the wurms.

I love it too and could never get bored

pvp is better than the pve in GW but that doesn't mean its bad... wow just has graphics that makes it belong on saturday morning cartoons... gw atleast looks realistic... best charecter models i gotta give up to lineage2 (dark elves thongs are FTW ) ... but the environments in that game are terrible...
gw has the best of both worlds and no amount of pve fun from wow can beat the thrill you get from GvG...

I don't know why everyone is griping about old pvp being better. There are more viable GvG builds than ever before, way back when you pretty much had to use the FOTM for any success.

See there amounts of ppls leaving the game now, and one of the reasons is because ppls are tired of all this endles Nerfing of skills and changes that are only favored the pvp players. You makes a nice build or find one here on the forum and with next build.... its useless because of the nerfing...
Not all likes the pvp style so if whant to keep this game up.. please listen to us who dont like pvp. At least we pve players dont yell on this forum when gets killed like Ive seen some pvp does. ANET if you reads this please stop that nerfing all the time, and use the time on making a easy way to sell our stuff. Feks: Auction, a kiosk where everyone can put up their own shop in the outposts or maincityes etc...
Im one out of many who likes the game as it was before all this ruining of skills, chests etc... and are not going to buy build4 if there is not a way to sell, a good forum where we can be heard or asked. Maby you should split the pvp and pve skills like you have done with other things. And if the droprate on build4 is so bad as in the nf... then it really going to stop the fun...
Its not only Negative, but the positive turns to negative when all this happens.... all the time. Please spend you time on other things than nerfing skills. Make the build4 as good as the tyrian and if new chars, then maby think of a proffesion who can make things like armor, weapons etc.

The fact is that the game's coming up on 2 years old. At this point there are a lot of old vets that have just plain gotten bored with it, and who can blame them? I mean, when was the last time you played a game for 2 years and didn't lose interest? Fortunately as people leave, others come in, which is just healthy and natural for a game of this sort. Basically, you've got to take al lthe bitching around here with a great big grain of salt.

UO ftw and GW ftw and i love gw so much that it makes my soup which isnt tastey taste tastey

Go Guild Wars :P. I hate how people keep complaining about them patching everything. I could care less about patches. Just find a way around it. You are allowed to spend a couple thousand gold at the Skill Trainer ya know.

In anycase i use to really love Guild Wars... then i hated it... and now im slowly starting to like it more due to Nightfall (not including heroes)... but sadly il never like it as much as i use to.
I blame Factions for the simple fact it sucked (part-opinion and part-fact), but after Prophecies i always found myself sloping back to Lineage II.
But unless the next release is nothing short of pure freakin' awesomeness, unfortunately i think i will move on (T.T)
For the moment however i will say GW is killer-sweet (i just hope the next game is uber-killer-sweet-awesome-o)... go Prophecies... go Nightfall... Yay! *(^.^)*

I want to also say something to people who constantly complain about skill nerfs and blaming PVP for it: SKILL CHANGES OCCUR IN EVERY GAME!!!!
In EVERY MMO, skill changes will happen. Whether or not that game has PVP, nerfs or buffs will occur. When I played MMOs that didnt have PVP, people STILL complained about nerfs but guess what? They blamed other things for the nerfs. The warriors would blame the mages for crying about warrior skills and getting them nerfed. Then the mages would blame the warriors for their nerfs. So much idiotic finger pointing. And now I see PVE'ers here doing the same.
So stop complaining about nerfs for crying out loud. And is it really that difficult to adjust? Is PVE really that hard where you can't cope with the new changes? No it isnt. And if you find PVE "less fun", look more closely and you'll find that it has less to do with skill nerfing than the actual PVE for lack of fun.
