Profession: E/A
Name: Deadly Tremours
Type: PvP
Category: Spike(-assist)
Attributes:
12+3+1 Earth
12 Deadly
3+1 Energy Storage
This may vary, if you want a full-power spike, take these stats. However, if you want a bit more leeway, take 14 earth and 11 deadly with a higher energy storage.
Skills Set:
Deadly Paradox
Shadow Prison {Elite}
Iron Palm
Aftershock
Entangling Asp
Signet of Toxick Shock
Earth Attunement
Res Sig
Summary:
If you want monks to seriously hate you, use this. With a double knockdown, high damage spell and poison all in 1, He'll have a twitching eyebrow in no time. Oh, and let's not forget, 10 seconds after the first spike, you can do it all over again. I've had various monks tell me never to use this build against them again.
Using this build is easy to learn, but difficult to master (ah, the cliches). you really just have to calmly go through your skills one after the other, 1,2,3,4,5,6...wait a little, repeat.
There's some big drawbacks though, you have to be careful that you don't use your skills too quickly or you'll mess up.
Also, you're an armour 60 "squishie" standing right next to the monk, so be careful not to overextend too much.
Now the biggest thing, this build is NOT energy friendly, you spend a total of 50 energy on 1 combo, while only recieving 4 energy back with aftershock. So be VERY careful with energy.
Counters: standard ele counters, watch out for hex breaker as it screws up your combo if you're not careful. drawn out battles / energy denial is your worst enemy, BiPpers are your friend (as if you'll ever see them in TA/RA)
Credit: Never seen anyone else using this or even remotely similar to this, so I'm taking full credit.
I'm still annoyed with the crappy energy management, so if someone could help me here I'd be grateful.

Wouldn't it be better to make an A/E considering you use just one earth skill?
Also, spending 10 enrgy for gaining 4 over a cycle doesn't look good, better managin energy with Glyph of Lesser Energy.
Next: you shadow step, knockdown, as soon as he gets up knockdown again and by the time he would get up again he should be dead...why wasting an elite to snare him when you could use, for example, a speed buff like Shadow of Haste and Assassin's Promise to regain energy?
Last thing: if you want to keep Shadow Prison as your elite take Obsidian Flame instead of Earth Attunement, at least it should be a nice finishing blow to your target.

you should really try to use or at least visualise the combo, if you would you'd see why I use SP and not SoH or AP.

Oh sure, with crappy energy management I really want exhaustion on top of that.

If it's spike forget energy management with this asset.
If it's not spike use GoLE. Please explain the snare need in this build, I really don't see it. Obsidian Flame is not a spam skill, you should use it only once on a while, so exhaustion would not be a concern. Draco Angelus
it IS a spike, but the beauty is that it can be used every 10 seconds over, so with obsidian flame, which is used every now and then, it's basically wasting a slot that could be of better use with something else.
now for the need of Shadow prison, ever thought of the fact I don't use it for the snare? Shadow prison teleports you to the target and hexes you with a snare, however, I couldn't care less about the snare bit, as long as the target get's hexed. Iron palm only KD's someone if they have a hex or condition on them, THAT's why I use Shadow prison, for the shadow step and the hex. Munanko Roha
So, wasting an elite to hex your foe? Using Syphon Speed and Assassin's Promise wouldn't work better for your purpose? You lose your shadow step but hex and snare your target to make your combo work and manage your energy way better. Or you could replace Syphon Speed with Dark Prison, you would get your shadow step and the huge recharge time would be softened by Assassin's Promise - in the best possible situation you would't even need Deadly Paradox.
