None, because I ain't spendin' money on robots.
But I'd go with dreadnoughts or whatever because it's pretty cheap.

Yeah, i love people who feel the need to voice out their oppinion and increase post count in the forums, even though they have nothing constructive or amusing to say.
Anyhow, as for Koss - dont give him Gladiators. In general, (im sure there r few exceptions) i find +energy to be useless on heroes in PvE. +armor or +health is what you should aim at.
How i equip my warrior heroes depends on what attributes they have. If i can put 13 in strenght cool, if not i take Knights and Dreadnoughts (i think that's what they are named).

Just so Im clear on what you mean--
If Koss has 13 in strength (and he does) you are saying use Sentinel's Insignia which requires 13 in strength, maybe on the chest,
and use Knight's ( -3 damage) on the rest of the armor pieces?
I suppose in the end, it really comes down to personal preference

If you're running a 13 in strength, you should have Sentinel's on at least the Chest and Pants. The rest, because of the lower probability of being hit, is your choice. Knights, IMO, is a bit of a waste, as + armor generally outperforms the -3 damage vs physical in most situations.

Whenever I found a Warrior insiginia I just threw it on Koss. He's got a full set of Dreadnoughts armor and on my other character he has all Knights.

I just put full survivors on him. With a shield and watch yourself on him armour's no problem.
Full radients is useful on all caster heroes except for necros. The AI has very poor energy management skills, even with power drain and leech sig on all casters. So a bigger tank always helps. Necros pawn all though, soul reaping is hands down the best pve attribute and they have that awesome signet for free energy and health. And necros spam that like crazy when enemy health is low.

This is not PvP.
1) Heroes usually wont instantly spam skills, at least not all. Therefore they're going to lose less energy than player w same skills
2) In PvE everyone regenerates while walking from group to group. In PvP that's not possible. Hence, energy is less of an issue in PvE. You're supposed to kill enemy groups fast. If not, use better skills
3) Heroes can have excellent energy gains like Power Drain. Necro heroes have awesome Soul Reaping which is overpowered in PvE.
4) From what i've noticed armor is so much more important than energy. Extra health too. More armor you have, less monks need to heal, and more energy they have. Much more than if u put radian insignias on others. Heroes wont kite like players can (even though most pvers never do either), and they are more susceptible to AoE.
In theory, radiant is cool. In practice, my caster heroes had radiant insignias, but i soon replaced them for armor insignias. I like it much much better now.
+7 energy wont help that much, really, and if battle lasts 30min (just trying to picture it), you lose that small advantage in the beginning, and then what? But, +10 or +15 armor is always there, no matter how long the battle is.

I have his Chest and Leggins with Radiant (+3 Energy to Chest Armors and +2 Energy to Leggings) and the rest I had him on Knight's. I figure that he or I won't be missing those +3 to energy. I plan on switching his weapon (as well as my weapon) since we both have 15% always / -5 Energy weapons. So might as well get protected with the Knights Insignias.

i gave sentinel for chest / pants
survivor for head and foot
stonefist for arm
1 minor swordman, strength rune

My general formulae for equipping heroes goes like this:
Melee Heroes:
Runes: 0/1 major rune, 2/1 minor runes, 1 attunement and 2 vitae
Insignia: Stalwart/Sentry/Blessed (depending on type of set up - Koss usually has one of the 1st two.
Monk Heroes:
Runes: 1/2 major runes, 1/0 minor runes, 1 minor vigor, 2 vitae
Insignia: Radiant/Sentry* - (*VERY rare, only use in 1 specific build.)
Caster Heroes:
Runes: 1 major rune, 1 minor rune, 3 vitae.
Insignia: Blessed/Sentry/Profession-Specific
Ranged/Hybrid Class Heroes:
Runes: 0/1/2 major runes, 2/1/0 minor runes, 2 vitae
Insignia: Stalwart/Sentry/Profession-Specific
So, specifically, Koss usually gets Stalwart, because the benefit is unconditional, plus it's cheap, unlike most warrior insignias.

Dreadnought's. Cheap and effective, without being limiting like Sentinel's.
