Other Farming Possibilities in case SoA does get perma-nerfed

Well, SoA was very overpowered in HA, not sure about GvG, but since this update is based around fixing HA I'm not too hopeful about the future.
This means that it is time to start looking for alternatives.

So far, we have:
Mo/D
Relys on Mystic Regeneration/Prot Spirit
Basically a traditional 55 with only 1 regen skill, as long as you run a few more enchants. Honestly I would choose this over any other Regen-based 55 build. You only need 8 Earth Prayers to gain the maximum benefit from this spell. The only draw-back is that the dervish doesn't bring much damage to the table, but it does bring utility.

Mo/E
[Stoneflesh Aura]+ [Protective Spirit]
This is essentially a improved SoA. You can have 250 health, and it maxes out to be 17 seconds without a 20% Enchanting Item. With a 15 second cooldown, this leaves more then enought time to renew it. The only problem is that, according to wiki, when prot spirit is used with Stoneflesh, the older enchantment activates first. The Ele brings some nice earth damage opportunities, but they are more conditional.

A/Me
I have never tested this, but according to the Deadly Paradox skill description on Wiki ( I don't remember it acting like this before) It will shorten Shadow Form's cooldown to 30 seconds, meaning that if you echo it you can be permanently invincible.

As of now, these look pretty promising to me. I'll check back later and update this thread with any suggestions you guys post.

I ment NEW things, because i dont feel the the Pure monk regen 55 is as efficent as these other builds.

Yea it was more a joke/captain obvious thing..

Although a 55 Mo/D with Mystic Regen would be hot.. O.o

Even able to counter degen easily in many areas..


3*5=15 regen... :O

Umm, you even check out and test the changes to SoA? I just did a few runs and this has zero negative effect. Still works just as well as before.

The Imps outside Ice Caves are not the same as before. Mantra of Resolve hurts now with the 1 second cast time. Any enemy without interupt is the same though.

SoA Sliver is dead on Ghail runs. Would be possible with a 3/4th cast time probably. (Jade brotherhood mesmers... love the interrupts...)
