game buy online, slow download as hell

hello. y buy the game online since 8 day. and im still downloading files at 2-6kb/s and cannot play the game now!!!!

i read the faq on the site and yes my port 80 and 6112 are forewarded.

i can download up to 500k/s with others programmes or surfing the internet.

someone can help ?

Maybe get a copy of a friends DAT file if you can?

Note: just run and complete this once, not every time you play the game.

What type of internet do you have?

I have Satellite and my bandwidth starts getting restricted once I go over a certain amount...fortunately I also have the CD's. I back up my DAT file regularly so reinstall <if necessary> is a snap.

i try it allready. over 80000 files to download, and after 24hours of downloading still 790000 files remaining.

and no friends with the cds, and cannot find it on torrent site

Very strange. What type on net connection, again? (DSL, Cable, Sat, etc.)

Is a Virus Scanner/security utility mucking about with the files as they are downloaded and slowing the process to a crawl?

DSL connection. over 530kb/s of download and 110kb/s of upload speed.

no anti virus, no firewall, port correctly forwarded on the router.

i really want to play damn it


edit: btw, what is your average speed ?

My DL speed fluctuates: 6k-28k/sec

BTW, is it possible for you to take your router out of the equation to see if DL ime is impacted?
