Hey I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to get rid of the pointless shortcut mini-icon that shows up in the bottom left corner of icons of shortcuts. Basically everything on my desktop is a shortcut and it's silly to have that silly white box with the black arrow on every single icon. I'd like to see the whole icon without that if I can.
Does anyone know how I might get rid of that thing? I haven't been able to find an option to turn it off, so I'm wonder if perhaps the file that contains the shortcut mini-icon image is accessible and deletable/modifiable, where I could get it to not show up.
Anyone have that kind of know-how?
How can I get rid of the shortcut mini-icon on my icons?

Copy and Paste icons instead of saying Send To->Desktop

Or, you could download Object Dock and do away with all the icons on your desktop and have some hi-quality 256x256 .png icons instead!
