Character Selection Screen choices

This is my first visit to the forum, so I don't know if this has been suggested before.
I would like to suggest that we are allowed to choose where we take a character from the character selection screen. I don't always want to go back to the same place where I left the game. It could be one of the three port cities that link the games together.
Sometimes I leave the game from my guild hall and don't always want to go back there to start playing.

You're talking about a background screen. That's not what I mean. I'm talking about being able to choose which city you go to from the character selection screen. Sometimes I leave the game after just being in my guild hall. I don't always want that to be the first place I return to in the game.
I had a thought that maybe we could also choose the district we go to from that screen. I have dial-up and it's very difficult going into a main city in the first district when it's crowded. It would be nice to be able to choose a higher district with less people in it. When I have to switch between screens as I first log on, I quite often get kicked.

This would be useful.
When I log in to play on my poor, over-worked, lag-happy laptop, it certainly doesn't appreciate trying to load Kaineng City Dis1 just because that was where I foolishly left my character, especially if I actually want to be somewhere else entirely.
We get to choose districts etc. when mapping - To be able to do it on log-in as a character would be very helpful.
