What is the best weapon or weapon + focus that is used for a domination mesmer.. I have..
Korvald's Cane:
11-22 Chaos
Halves Skill Recharge Domination. 20%
Energy +5 over 50% health
Inscribed Chakram
Energy +12
Dom +1 (20% change)
Health +30
Korvald's Cane:

I use Eshwe's Wand and Chichor's Conundrum for my Dom Builds. I don't know if this is the "best" combo, but it certainly has worked for me.

Unless you have 5 or more dom skill on your skill bar, it's better to use staff.

Standard Set
5^50 energy / 20 recharge
20 recharge / +30 hp
You use this as recharge is your biggest weakness. Fast cast is not as critical as your only major long cast is diversion, which you want to be fairly steady so you can time it easier.
Secondary set of similar items keyed to a specific attribute, if you are using it often. Weapon swap to get the Recharge boosts.
20 Recharge 15 Energy 60 Hp staff
High-hp set, while still keeping the recharge buff for general use. Vs spike and hex pressure teams, or when in danger of dying (eg: Blackouts on enemy mid/backline).
Alternatively, a +5/+30 martial and +30/+10 shield may be appropriate. You gain the advantage of 18 armor vs specific (8 non-locational) but lose recharge and 10 energy. Reduces overall pressure (armor buff) but you lose the recharge, which is critical as that is the biggest penalty places on most domination skills.
Finally, a weapon for enchantments (if any) can be a +30hp +15e 20%fsr 20%ench staff, or a martial/focus (+30hp +17e 20%fsr 20%ench, but not global recharge unless you drop 5e for 10%fsr global). Also, depending on your skillbar, you may choose a 40/40 set, however this is not as common.
Personally, I have;
5e^50/20%fsr 20%fsr/+30hp main set
+15e 20%fsr +60hp staff
10%fsr 20%ench 20%fsr/+30hp ench set
+5e/+30hp +30hp/+10AL (currently vs slash) defence set.

Since i beat the Factions Campaign, i have used a Korvald's Cane and a Straw Effigy:
Straw Effigy:
Energy+12(req. 9 Domination)
Halves skill recharge of dom spells(20%)
Health +30
Works really well...

Could you lsit the names and what not of your weaposn Avarre? It seems like a really good way of doing things and I would like to be preety well at my Mesmer once more as I've been focusing on the Elementalist for a while and have lost my inner mesmer.

I use korvalds cane & chakram, shadow axe +5e/+30hp & korvalds chakram, morolahs staff (I know Avarre mentioned a steady timed diversion is useful, and I agree, however I have found the 20%hct + 20%hct of this staff can sometimes sneak in and divert enemy diversions), as well as an inspiration based wayward wand & straw effigy to switch to if/when I use inspiration skills on a dom based bar.

set 2: 15/-1 hsr 20% wand, 15-1 health +30 offhand.
set 3: -5 energy spear, and a shield with any number of stats (primarily +10 armor vs earth and of course health +30).
it's basically what avarre has, but I never use a staff on a mesmer, because the dual hsr 20% is too valuable.

I generally prefer a 10%/30hp spear to a 5^50/20% wand.
