Binding Ritual Animation Bug?

I've recently noticed (prior to the test weekend) that the animation for binding rituals is no longer present. I didn't think much of it until i noticed it happening (or rather, not happening) to another ritualist in a party i was in.

Previously, when it came time to summon a spirit, my ritualist would bow to the ground and wave her hands about, calling up the spirit. Now she simply stands there, doing something not disimilar to the "/bored" emote. The staff she's carrying disappears, and she just stands there. The spirit is still summoned, so it doesn't bother the game mechanics any, but still, I kind of miss the animation. After all, one of the reasons i play GW is because it looks so nice.

Has anyone else noticed this, or does anyone else feel like checking this on their rit? Is this kind of thing worthy of sending a bug report directly to A-Net?

This isnt happening for me. For some reason or another your program isnt showing you the animation, all has been perfect for my rt.

Now that you say it, you're right. That's why I couldn't see whether the rit on our gvg team was casting or not.

Didn't notice the change in animation. My Rt still does it old way.

as you can see from these pics, she pretty much just stands there. Her weapon still disappears. But during the cast she stands with her hand on her hip... as if bored. That this is only happening to some is kind of weird.

Further experimenting has revealed that it's the "/no" emote. x2 for longer spells. She even does it at the end of casting "Backfire" (the mesmer skill).

That's pretty funny. I know that's not the point of the OP, but it is still pretty funny.

But hey... in those situations, [skill]Spiritual Pain[/skill] still works fine as discouragement.

He claps??? Ok, that's odd. My rit says /no, your rit is fine, but your hero claps. There is definately something wrong here. I'll try on my other PC tomorrow and see if it has anything to do with my computer.
