Character Slots & Campaigns

Is it possible buy more character slots if I already have all three campaigns?

I'd kinda like a character of every single class... but currently it doesn't seem possible... I've got most of the classes covered, but I only have a single slot left.... and I don't have a primary Mesmer, Paragon nor Warrior yet. Unless I can purchase two more slots then two classes will have to be left out.

Additionally... is it possible for me to "upgrade" my Prophecies and Factions to CE or would I have to buy those separately somehow? I originally thought the Prophecies copy I got was CE... but I was basically just cheated with some half "special edition" or whatever it was that wasn't the same at all. The only CE I managed to get was Nightfall... and despite claims that my Nightfall characters should have special dancing effects due to my having CE, that isn't true either. All I got for my troubles is a stupid Mini-Varesh...
[And for that matter, if I separately purchased a CE version of Factions or Prophecies and stuck the key in... would it then upgrade AND give me new slots... or just upgrade.... or perhaps not let me do it at all?]

1) Yes you can buy extra character slots through the online store, I believe it was said up to a maximum of 26 at some point when the store first appeared.

You can't buy a CE upgrade for your accounts I'm afraid, the only way to add CE functionality (items effects etc) to your current account is to buy a CE version of the chapter you want the extras for and enter the key. Note - this will not give you any extra character slots or other bonuses apart from those that come with the CE. Kicked my own arse when I did that and realised I'd just spent forty quid on backup dancers.

Ah... /dancenew is what makes the special funky effects with my Dervish... is it? ^_^

For the record.... I WANT to pay silly amounts of money to get backup dancers for my Assassin (i.e. CE Factions) since he IS my main character... irrespective of anything else...

But just for an extra question related to that.... can I disengage keys from an account or not? I mean if I wanted to stick Factions CE on my account, could I remove old Factions and make a new account with it or not?
I am making an educated guess and saying NO.... but its always worth asking anyway.


Perhaps I should suggest to A-Net that they make the CE features separately purchasable..... It would save so much hassle.... and money... (though not for them, I suppose)...

I'm so vain it hurts sometimes.... especially considering I'd rather avoid the meatbags when it actually comes to combat and exploration...

sorry no.....once the key is used its used and cant be again....
to get the backups for the assassin you will need to buy the ce for factions (I am sure they are still around since they had to make extras because they messed up last year). You can have both the regular and ce on your account, I have that for prophecy (took awhile to find the ce for that one). doesnt change your account except that you get the auras and bonus items. (no extra slots etc).

What came with the CE for the original Prophecies?
I doubt thats still available by any stretch of the imagination, but I really thought I was buying it when I wasn't... -_-;

The only in-game feature from Prophecies CE is Divine Aura. This makes the character's hands glow when they do emotes. It is possible to get copies of the CE, but they are hard to find and you will probably end up paying substantially more for it.

I wonder whether if we get a thead up asking for the 2 slots per additional game purchased it will be noticed by the higher powers? It sure would be nice to be able to get more than my nine character slots without having to give out credit card info and addresses, etc
