I Have a spare Account (actually 3 but only want to lose 1) and I know its against the rules to sell them in game so i decided to be nice and let people show off there skills and win the prize of the account. I would have the contest of the best solo build thats new and is no where on forums or any site. Gaile? A-net? anyone? Is it allowed?

You might want to PM one of the moderators and get the guru website official opinion. The mod list is at the bottom of the Q&A forum page.

No, we don't allow it here. It's against the EULA to trade an account, regardless if it's being sold or not.

They also had an UNUSED key.
The account had not yet been created.

But if you read that thread, her key was unused, meaning it had no email address or password associated with it.

The actual silver scratch box was still covered as well.

one difference that may be possibly major - the person running the "pantheon of the gods contest" is putting an UNUSED cd-key up for prize, you are talking about already formed accounts attached to your email addresses with your passwords and you know the original cd-keys.

rather different.

EDIT: bah, beat to the punch.

If the key is unused <never been entered and used for an account> then it's simply a gift.

If the account has already been activated and THEN transferred...that's against the EULA.

I could go to guildwars.com right now and purchase 1500 game keys from them and start giving them away...nothing wrong with that at all.

It's really not that hard to understand.

I can't purchase an individual copy of Microsoft XP Professional, install it and then legally give the CD away for someone else to install on their PC.
