You know, paragons can do more than motivation shouts, such as throw spears at things until they die. The damage buffs they got were ridiculous.
Govtmorgue
lol The damage buffs....we got 2 Spear skills damage buffed bro, that was it...

I think each class got their own version of this...
Ritualists: Frustrated Was Developer. Item Spell. Hold Alex Weekes' cigarette ashes for 4-8 weeks. When you drop his ashtray, all Ritualist skills are moved to the Channeling attribute in order to try to get SOMEONE to actually play the line.
Paragons: "Pretty Please Attack With a Spear?" Shout. For 30 seconds, any Leadership, Motiviation and Command skills used by target ally are disabled. All Spear Mastery skills receive +1...1 damage.
Warriors: Ants in the Pants Stance. Stance. For 1...2 seconds, the duration and recharge time of all stances on your skillbar are decreased by 90%. Effect is doubled if used with the new Mesmer spell, "Attention Deficit Disorder."
Mesmers: Energy Bulemia. Hex Spell. For 30...126 seconds, you suck all energy from target foe, such that it brings their energy total to -100. When this spell ends, the next spell you cast costs 100 energy.
Elementalists: Delayed Blast Fire Storm. Spell. After 10 seconds, any foe standing in the area of effect of this spell receives 100...600 damage. Foes within the potential area of effect receive a flashing message on their screen saying "You are standing in the potential AoE of a Fire Storm. You have 10 seconds to evacuate the area."
Rangers: Lightning Nerf Reflexes. Stance. For 2...4 weeks, you are able to avoid all potential nerfs to your skills. While this stance is in effect, a random Beast Mastery skill is removed from your bar.

New elite skill in Spear Line: My Stick's Longer than Yours {E} causes the crap excuse for a spear you're holding to become a panzerfaust rocket launcher instead. For the next months, lose all motivation to play the char. This skill is conditional on party member 2 flirting with the Xunlai Agent, party member 3 mistiming his meteor shower, party member 4 forgetting to bring an elite at all, and party member 5 casting mending and then frenzy on himself. When all these conditions are met, you have to run around in circles for 10 seconds before the skill will activate. 50% chance failure with spear master 4 or less, or if you dont use a shout, chant, chant, shout, echo, finale, shout - in precisely that order.

Unblockable Throw: decreased casting time to 2 seconds.
Mighty Throw: decreased casting time to 2 seconds.
(WOW decreased from 3 to 2.. dont go too crazy)
Blazing Spear: increased damage to 5..25.
(Decent buff, id like to see more time on that fire duration)
Vicious Attack: decreased recharge time to 4 seconds.
Wearying Spear: decreased Weakness duration to 5 seconds.
(Decent Buffs)
Slayer's Spear: decreased recharge time to 4 seconds, increased damage to 5..30.
(Best buff of all the spear skills)
I would hardly call this ridiculous, much less even good. This only benefits PvP because there are 6 other classes i can think of (without even considering builds) that can easily over damage the paragons spear.
Paragons were weak in basic party assistance. The only builds worth taking were hybrids. Usually there are 1 or 2 builds that last great just with the primary. I would have liked to see a buff in motivation, command is pretty solid as is, but even a slight buff there would have been nice. This is like Anet buffing smiting.. aside from PvP, smiting is worthless unless your facing huge hordes of undead.

reminds me of the assassin after the first nerf. take a fairly decent class and turn it to crap and wait 6 months to realize it.
However motivation doesn't need a HP buff so much as it needs several of its recharges dropped.
I.E. Song of restoration needs its recharge dropped to 12seconds, ballad of restoration needs to be reduced to 12-15second recharges, etc. about 5 second recharge reduction across the board for motivation in general.
As for the spear line it does require a major buff. More so then during the test weekend.
The biggest drawback to trying to run support in a paragon is you cant get everybody so your effects are limited to agro range.
I really like the class but they are not as useful as other classes built to support.

Perhaps...
"Sun don't shine" Spear mastery (Elite). Melee spear attack, mauling for +20...36 damage, inflicting bleeding, deep wound, and dazed.
