Whilst reading Guru and slowly destroying my brain cells, I notice a lot of complainers who basically want everything back the way it was during GWP.
(8v8 etc.)
After a while, I start to get the feeling that there's nothing new ANet can do to please these people, the only option they'll accept is reverting back to the original.
So maybe ANet should just ditch them? (Those players) :P
- First of all, they should make the new HA funner. I suspect we'd need at least another test weekend or two before this can occur.
- Keep it 6v6. Just to offer it as the middle ground between GvG and Arenas.
- Then, when the new HA is perfected, they give it a month or so to trial, and see if any horrible farming behaviour or other nastiness pops up.
- Then, once we're certain that HA is somewhat balanced and skill based, we give it really meaningful rewards. For example, if you enter as a Guild Team, and you hold Halls, it gives you a small amount of rating. (Say, half of a ladder-GvG win.) This is intentionally still much less than a Daily Tournament GvG win. Also a decent amount of gold and items for all players too.
- Finally, RESET FAME!!!!! poof! All the previous HA players suddenly /ragequit for WoW. HA becomes a ghost town.
----> HA slowly comes back into popularity as a new generation of players are attracted to it by the rewards, and try it out, and learn to like it without any memories or preconceptions of what it was like before.
(and thanks for input from TGH posters who are already well into this discussion)
Let's kill HA, and rebirth it.

I disagree with the keep it 6v6 to be a middle ground between gvg and ta. Not all guilds like gvg. Not everyone is in a guild that will pvp even if the individual person likes it. Maybe some guilds prefer ha to gvg and would like it as 8v8 more.
IMO the main reason that anet changed it is because I think they were tired of Vimway and Iway dominating the scene for so long.

O
my post from TGH
please note that the sandwich is not real just a comparison and it doesn't matter what type it is or whether or not anyone likes sandwiches just the mechanics of making one. TY
disagree
Why should people start again - there are far too many people who are not complaining who would get jumped on in the process.
A-net can not just dump people it is a business - they can't dump HAers or GvGers or PvEers. After reading several forums I have seen requests to just trash all of these groups and I think this is what is hurting the game and forum posting as well.
Each part of the game requires the other parts of the game for the GW to continue and each needs to realize they have to make some sacrifices and try to get along. Obviously no party will ever be completely satisfied but by no means should changes be made to satisfy only one group.
The same goes for comments that say PvP and PvE should be separated or decided between. It's like asking which came first the chicken or the egg > Different players will have different answers as to which is more important but in reality they need each other.
Think of it as building a sandwhich PvE is the bread and butter and PvP is the Meat inside
Now you can change the type of bread (use crackers even) and choose to use margarine or mayo but you can't totally do away with the outside of the sandwich.
On the other side meat can become tuna or cheese ( not peanut butter cause some people are allergic) or even veggies. But a sandwich can not be a sandwich without something in the middle.
The type of sandwich we are discussing really doesn't matter it is the idea that a sandwich needs both a form of bread and a middle to be a sandwich.
And yes A-Net does have some changes they can make to both but the stranger the sandwich the less chance people will want to try it. They can however offer a few toppings as well (AB JQ AW TA RA Elite Missions)

PvE player instead ever time anet nerf a farming ,or similar build, begin to whine because normally ,using the alternative they have, will take much more time to get the same result
