if you dont know by now, anet made this great search button that nobody so far i have seen actually uses thus making it... useless. but thats not what my point is, it is that they add a trade channel, but neglegate the AFK/auction selling. why...?

so yea, anet finally implements this needed (NEEDED) function.

but they fail to include an AFK auction mode. they have the trade channel all nice and spiffy, but NO way to AFK, just redirects any possible buyer to PM you. great.

would it really be THAT hard to just add in a little popup window of maybe 10 items that have preset no haggle prices?

It more than likely WOULD be that hard, if you knew that much about programming and the amount of info they would have to store, just because you want to go wander off and make some money.

I don't see your point.
You're trying to make a channel for selling with no AKFs? What?
If the person AFK, that person can't really do anything so I don't follow...

Hmmm have you guys ever played Knights online or silkroad?

You know how you can set up stalls that people can just look at and buy stuff if they want?

I think he means something like that.

I think he means ppl could essensially set up their own little shop that acts just like a normal merchant set prices that ppl pick up and go, no input frombuyer during trade.

sound gd to me

That's like Kal Online (free MMORPG). That's extreme lag.

That's why if anet makes it so, they have it where the only time you can put up the afk auction thing, is in a special district, but then again, that'd be a lot of work...making a special district (or type of district)just for trades

Another thing they should do is make it so that trade chat can be seen in any district of that town, giving it this power, many more people will use trade chat instead of all chat, clearing up the all chat, and allowing people who don't want to see trade chat to shut it off, although when it comes to people, I doubt the All selling will die down that much

Messing with the trade channel of chat won'd to a thing to get people to use it.

Go to LA in the busiest hours, and you still only see 3-4 people using search at times. For some reason, people just don't like the trade channel, and don't check it. They'd rather run around with caps on "buying X item" when there's already 3 of them in the trade channel for sale.

A further district with vendor stalls would completely lag everythign down, not to mention be pointless. More people would sell utter crap, because, well, it will sell now and it doesn't take effort. And, the creation of a whole new map or district type would just be a ridiculous amount of effort for a system that already pretty much works.

Maybe in a later expansion, but no major work will be done on the chapters that exist.
