Hey I just started playing Elementalist and came up with this build that I've been using in some of the various arenas. I'd like some suggestions on how it can be improved.

Sandstorm (E)
Obsidian Flame

Ressurection Signet
I've played this build for a few hours and here are the main things I've found. Overall, the damage dealing capabilities seem fine, but, again, I'm new to this class. I have also noticed that after a few minutes my e-mgt is not great, this most likely because I will occasionally forget to recast Earth Attunement in the heat of battle and I still cast Obsidian Flame a bit too much.
My main attacks are Obsidian Flame and Stoning. I use Sandstorm when melees aggro on a character so that I get the bonus damage from attacking.
At 10 inspiration Signet of Humility will disable the elite skill of my target for 11 seconds, has a 2 second cast, and a 20 second recharge. I try to use it mainly against monks and other elementalists. I like going for monks the best since it usually severely affects their ability to heal.
Everything in the build is pretty self explanatory and I'm sure there are similar builds out there. Is there anything I can improve from a damage / protection perspective?

you say you've been using this in arenas...so I'm assuming it's for PvP. If this its the case I can't comment as I don't PvP...one thing I noticed was this.
NO elementalist needs +energy insignia on armor. Earth Attunement and GoLE is MORE than enough to keep your energy at a reasonable level. You should use something more suitable such as +armor or +HP perhaps.

I guess I should also mention the weapon I am using.
Right now I am spec'd with:
PvP staff w/ +5 Armor grip & +5 Armor head. Along with a 20% chance to halve skill recharge.
I will try switching my insignias over to blessed (+10 while enchanted) or prismatic +5 (req 9 earth).
Any mods I should change on my weapon?

You might aswell try to fit in ebon hawk or something to cause weakness so stoning will also knockdown your opponent. I just had some fun and got a glad point with ebon hawk, stoning, glowstone, ash blast, sandstorm, earth attunement, glyph of lesser energy, res signet. 16 earth, 13 energy storage. I had no healing abilities and we had no monk but we just overwhelmed everyone lol. It was a 4 ele team for awhile and although 2 of them left we still managed to win with the sin and rit that replaced them.
I was wearing +10 while enchanted armour and my staff had 2 mods that halves casting time of earth spells and +30 health I believe. Not sure if they stack but that would be 40% chance to 1/2 casting time.
