Hero headgear attribute point?

No matter what i do, I don't seem to be able to make the attribute point inherrant in the hero headgear show. It says +1 by item or something like that, which I take to mean that if I have a sword equiped I get +1 sword in the attribute points, but that doesn't happen. I can max out my toon to a full 16 points in one attribute with the toons headgear, but not with any of my heros. Is this a bug? Or am I just stupid?

The +1 will change to the same as the rune you apply

IE and a sword rune to the headgear you get the rune plus the extra +1

You have to add a rune to the head gear to get the additional +1 attribute. In your example if you have a minor rune of swordsmanship and add it to the hero’s head gear you would see swordsmanship + 1for the minor run and also swordsmanship + 1 for the inherent +1 in the headgear.

nah man, honestly i gave my donk a healing staff and it took me a week to realise that it was not giving it to me, then my guildie informed me that it was a rune

i am sure lots of people made that mistake to

Also, a couple things I have learned from my own experience:

If you put a major or superior rune in there, you won't get the extra +1 of the headgear.

If you try to use Minor Absorption on a warrior, you won't get the extra -1.

I run a major rune in the headgear on nearly every one of my heros and I have never had a problem getting the extra +1

Are you putting the abs. on the headgear? It says it wil boost an attribute by one. Absorption is not an attribute.

I ONLY use majors and Sups on the head gears and they always get the +1
