Tihark Orchard's Mission, Walkthrough
chaale
Tihark Orchard's mission is a new concept in guild wars. Somehow, it makes me think of Final Fantasy. It can take several hours if you really have no idea of what you're going to do or what you need to do, especially when you're participating to the festivities. By the way. It is a solo mission. Not even heroes or henchmen are allowed to follow you!
All said, I decided to make it short & sweet. Just to guide you through that mission and if anyone want to add beef to that guide.
Beginning
I. You spawn in some stairs. You do not need to talk to the guy at the end of the corridor, but you can if you want some informations.
II. Then, turn right and go straight until you reach the blocked stairs by the guards. Look at your left, there is another stair way that goes down.
Bonus (1/5)
III. Then, keep your left. You will meet 2 children, Dende & Mina. Talk to the guy, then to the girl. Tell her you're going to show her how to dance and type "/dance". If you're playing a girl, do the opposite.
Bonus (2/5)
IV. Continue your way to the other stair way that goes down. You see a Zilo the Drunkard. Contest him. To drink beer, you need to talk to every peasants and nobles. Try not to talk to others, some may become aggressive and try to kill you.
Bonus (3/5)
V. At the right of the drunkard, there's another activity. Talk to Duel Master Lumbo. This contest consist in Dueling Palawa Joko that is supposed to be strong. Any class should get him quick except the Monks, which I'll suggest a build later.
Bonus (4/5)
VI. At the opposing side of the ?walled garden?, you'll find Lumo the Mime. For this one you need to know your emotes. Just mime him doing the same emotes he does. He's doing Ranger's emotes animations. You need to mime 10 of his emotes and must respect a delay. Just read what he tells you.
Bonus (5/5)
VII. Continue behind that ?walled garden?, you'll see a woman, Jejumba. Tell her that, you need a gift for the prince (answer #2, #1, #3, if I remember well). You need to bring back a Phoenix Feater that a guard posses, Royal Guard Captain. The guard is a bit farther. Just continue your way, passed the woman, following the water and kill the guard flagged aggressive (red) to drop the feater. Bring it back to the woman, she will give you a special vase, that you'll use as a gift for the prince.
Alternative for Evilish people: Kill the woman that holds the vase.
VIII. Go completely to the opposite you are, which means : near the drunkard. There is some stairs that brings you to some important people, i.e. the three princes. First, Talk to the finance dude to give the gift to the prince. This will assure you got the bonus. (5 on 5 activities completed). Then, talk to the 3 princes or to the important person standing next to them, they will let you know some information about Nightfall storyline. Like Tahikora being a ... Bah... I won't tell you :P
The End
IX. There is 4 groups / 8 Skrees (2 Skrees per groups) to kill. As I said, there shouldn't be a problem for any professions, except for the Monks. If I can give you a little cue : from one group to another.... wait for the guards. They'll help you.

TIPS & TRICKS

I. A tip if you are using a caster/ranged classes for fighting the skree. You are used to usually just going up to just outside agro bubble and starting to attack things. Break that habit for this mission. The guards will not respond to attack calls, and unless the enemy is within their agro bubble, they will not attack. This has the unfortunate side effect of usually making you the target. Go up far enough to get about mid agro to the enemy, the guards will rush in and fight. You can now back off a bit and pick away at the enemy.
II. For the Drunkard:
To help keep from getting the screen a weavy, turn off the Post Processing Effects in your Graphics tab in F11. I don't remember having to talk to peasants for this, I only talk to Nobles to get the alcohol from them. III. Monk smite build : It's the easiest build I've found that uses common prophecies/core monk smite skills.
Smiting Prayers : Max it
Divine Favor : around 6-10
Healing Prayers : around 6-10 (mending)
**I'd suggest max Divine Favor, considering you need at least a +3 or +4 with Mending.
Skills :
1-Bane Signet
2-Signet of Judgment (Elite)
3-Banish
4-Symbol of Wrath
5-Balthazar Aura
6-Mending
7-Balthazar Spirit
8-Retribution
Tips : Right when you coming in : 6-7-8, you're energy should be maxed before the duel.
(Bonus 3/5): For the duel. Stay close to the guy. Target him, and wait he turns red. Right when he turns red : 5-4-1-2-3. You shouldn't have time to cast 3, he'll stop before.
Why 5-4-1-2-3 and not 5-4-3-2-1? Because you knock him down with 1-2, so it lets 4-5 ends before he can run away.
(Bonus 5/5): Same thing has bonus 3, but this time you'll have time to cast 3 and recast maybe 1-2-3.
And at the end, try not to be the target. Let the guards tank. Don't use Balthazar Aura. Use symbol of wrath only if it's safe.
Nota Biene
It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to complete this mission master + bonus, except if you read to know the story line.
Leave comments, or specifications. I did that guide with what I remembered of this mission. I'll probably edit it someday, when I'll do that mission again. If you have any corrections or specifications, feel free to PM me.
Hope this helps you!

Just remember that if your character is male, you need to teach the girl to dance, and if you have a female char, you'll teach the boy. And you can just kill the woman for the Vase too by choosing the right option on the conversation
dargon
Alternatively, instead of getting the feather, you can just kill her to get the vase

Thank you guys. I've added the missing informations.

Only nobles have drinks to steal for the drinking contest.
The person you re-enact the duel with is a necro (playing Palawa Joko), so keep that in mind with your skillbar.
The information that you get at the beginning of the mission is actually significant, in that it helps you remember the final piece of the bonus: speak to the princes' entourages before speaking directly to the princes.

For your suggested monk build, why don't you use holy strike and/or stonesoul strike instead of symbol of wrath & banish? You're knocking people down anyways with your signets so you'll get the extra dmg and you don't risk scattering things with your symbol of wrath. Also, holy strike/stonesoul strike have better recharge and cast times compared to banish and do more dmg when a foe is kd'ed and the same amount when they're not.

Well, at any rate, it’s great to have another guide out there. Here’s a typical day over this past (double-dipping treasure) weekend:
*Map into Tihark Orchard on the way to the Do Not Touch*
Person A: “lfg for mission” or “anyone doing mission?”
Me, Persons B-G: “it’s a solo mission”
Person A {whispering me}: wut do I do?
Me: this is a really fun mish! just make a halfway decent solo build, there’s not much fighting
Person A: “thx”
*ten minutes pass*
Person A: “i don’t have 5k”
Me: “you don’t need it, just pick another option”
Person A: “which one?”
Also there was a member of our alliance who was begging in AC because his leader (not me!) swore to him he needed 5k TO COMPLETE THE MISSION. Jeepers.

One of my favorite Nightfall missions, if not the best.
I really liked different concept, other than tedious go to group A, kill, group B, kill etc.

Thank you for the information, especially for gw.wiki page, which I don't know why... I didn't look at it before.
I'd also like to say that I'm trying to keep that walkthrough as simple as possible. So it's a quick reference. If they want more, I guess gw.wiki's there for it.
Then about the Monk Build, well... I thought it was clear. I've made it Italic and bold so next people will see. Also, it's a suggestion. Of course, you can change the skills and make something you prefer, better, whatever. I've often repeated on this board : Builds don't fit to everybody. Take build sharing as a suggestion and adapt it to your game play.
Peace,
~Chaale

Just to add on, the mime tells you that you need to copy 15 emotes. Firstly, he's wrong, because he actually only does 10. Secondly, It doesn't matter if you get one wrong, as long as you do the correct one before you 'lose' (i.e, he does a /dance emote. You put in a /cheer emote, and realise it's wrong. If you're a quick typer, and you type /dance before he blabs on about whatever, you won't have 'lost' the masters)
Cherno
Even if you type the wrong one and he yells at you, all you have to do is talk to him again and restart. I made a stupid mistake once and had to just talk to him again and I got masters.
I know that people are of varying levels of proficiency at this game, but is there really anyone, without any clue as to what to do in the mission, that would take hours to complete it? That seems a bit of hyperbole.

Thanks Marty Silverblade for the corrections and a special thank to Cherno who feeded us with 2 more tips.
Answer to Cherno :
- It is not a hyperbole. I probably made a mistake not being precise enough. I had to do that mission 5 times before to complete it with my Monk and it took me over 3 hours. I'm not used to soloing with a Monk and I had no friends online who could give me some cues. Finally, probably where I've been wrong, I never thought of searching on gw wiki. I only thought of looking up here, after I had complete that mission and I saw there was no walkthrough, so I thought people would enjoy if I'd share my experience and make my part for GWGuru's Community.
