Well yeah, I just did a complete format and reinstall of my computer. used -image. downloaded everything, now the decompressing part. Over 67000 files to decompress, and it's going with the amazing second of 1 file per second. this is going to take ages
anything possible to fix it? I can't remember it taking this long when I had the same 6 months ago..
decompressing goes extremely slow.

I was under the impression that decompression was down while not downloading files from the server.

but no, it can't decompress any faster without losing data info

I *had* the same problem apx a half year ago... i found out that a refreshrate-tool (refreshlock) that i am using was causing this problem. I need that tool for some other games (to force the refreshrate to go over 60 fps), but i have to disable it for gw... to avoid the extreme slow decompression of files.
