I’ve heard of people getting ignored because they get annoying and some other crap. Also when people want to buy a weapon and the seller says offer. Sometimes the buyer doesn’t really know that price and give it kind of low and the seller calls him a noob and ignores him. It isn’t really the buyer’s mistake.

But do you think people ignore other people because if they builds they play?

Umm...I think I need to reread this again..lol..

Ya, I think people like to irritate people on the internet just for fun, because they are weak and sorry in real life and like to show off their e-peen online. Don't pay attention to them though, its not worth your time.

I see this all the time. It is basic rudeness. Although it took me a while to figure out what you were saying, basically the sellers want you to PM your offers.

If you don't come close to the price that they expect, then they insult you. Sometimes they get too much money this way based on the same principle of people not knowing any better. If you don't know any better and you offer a low price, they insult you. They are trolling for the people who offer too much.

Frankly, I ignore any seller that won't state a price. Any discussion with them is pointless as they always insist on you making the first offer.

I ignore annoying people when I'm going to be hanging around in town. I don't make an issue of it, I just put 'em on ignore and that's it.

I never do business with people selling things who say "PM offers," "Serious offers only" or "No noob offers." As Griff Mon said, they're looking to get more than what the item is worth.

Do people ignore other people because of the build they use? It's pretty tough getting into PvE groups as a Mesmer or an Assassin. I primarily play a Mesmer and I've had some pretty tough times getting into PUGs for Missions & what-not. I prefer the silence over the stupid, insulting remarks that some people make with regards to builds/professions. Of couse, the people making them don't realize how big of a buffoon they're making themselves out to be when they spew out things like "Stupid noob! Mesmers are useless in PvE!"

I am probably in the top 50 of most annoying players in gw.....I never get ignored unless im messing with a friend yes i get the "make a offer" alot, but if they close trade I yell at them and call them noob......then ask how much
I have never gotten ignored by a random player......

All of you that ignor people with questions, and not stupid spam.......you all have gray hair......

The only ones I ever put on ignore are the adolescents discussing their imaginary sex lives with their friends as I am unable to smack them in the head.

@Tide to Go - I have gray hair and I answer questions all the time. I just do it through PM so there won't be any derogatory comments made to the questioner.

@Isaac - don't let rude people annoy you. That's why they do it.
If you are put on ignore for asking questions or for an unknown reason, just go on to someone else.

And the advice about sellers is good, no pro trader would do that to you. If a seller doesn't know what his item is worth, he shouldn't be trying to sell it.

I ignore people for grammatical errors.

Some times for the colour of there armour, and anyone who plays a Wa/Mo and insists on self healing.

My hair's too busy falling out for it to turn gray. BUT, if I know the answer to someone's question, I'll answer it. If I catch the name fast enough, I'll send a PM - the little "ping" you hear when you're PM'd helps the person catch your answer. If I don't catch the name, and the spam is going pretty good, I'll all-cap the first part of the answer to help them see it in all chat - like this:
Q: Where's storage at?
A. STORAGE is up by Vanyi, to the west.

If peopel want to act like immature children by all means let them. If they want to ignore peopel for silly reason let them. It keeps them away from the better part of the comminity this way.

For example, I was trying to sell Peppermint Candy Cane weapons in Kamadan and I got a whisper asking if they were winter green. I said no and got called a noob and insulted. Well, I was bored that day and decided to see what would happen when I threatened to report the guy. He freaked out and started apologizing and all sorts of stuff so I just ignored him. I felt it was warrented since I rarely if ever put people on my ignore or friends list.

I don't trade much, but when I encounter such aggressive behavior with no reason that contains a lo of offense, I do a screen and report. Althou I do not want to do such things (because some people abuse the system) some of the responses were a way too offensive for "Hello sir, I will pay 10k for it!". And I mean like I just didn't ress him for 10 mins and took his greens and golden items or similar abuse.

Another annyoing thing when trading is when you advertise something and you include the price in the ad. then someone ask you for stats details wepaon etc, then they ask for the price and decide not to answer anymore. Thereby wasting 5minutes of your time when you could of been talking to actual buyers

Do what I do:

1. Drink while you wait... what else you got to do in the meantime? :P

2. Ask them if they are in fact interested or just Window shopping. Saves time.

I will usually answer any questions people post about the game, in pm and/or chat. However, I hesitate when they spam the question 3+ times in a second as it just gets annoying. I prefer to pm them the answer as if i put it in chat and they're still spamming their question the answer will probably be ignored and they will continue spamming.

I'm starting to think that maybe those who are lfg should use the trade window to look for their teams and pugs since the local chat is used more. Then when the spammers catch on, they will start using the trade window more often and then we can switch back to local chat.

As long as people are civil and have some clarity in their communication, I won't ignore them (unless I'm simply too busy to type, 8v8 etc). I might not like their build choice, and if they're stubborn about it's effectiveness to the point of denial it irks me, but that's no cause for ignoring them.

Most of the posters here are right on. And I can agree wth them on a lot of things. Someone who doesn't put an asking price I don't even bother with because they have not taken the time to do a little research on how to properly price what they are trying to sell. Whenever I sell something I always find out what it is currently going for then try to get that. I do not have a lot of time to b online spamming WTS, so I will take a lower price if it seems reasonable. For those who will put you on ignore, they are not worth the time it takes me to wipe my butt.
The players on my ignore ist are there for a reason, they were rude or just beign nasty towards others, and that is not cool. Yes my hair is grey but I play Guild Wars to get away from the BS of the real world, not to get ino it with someone who has a "you don't know me so I am going to be a jerk" complex.
