Sebelkeh Mission
Enchanted Warrior
Okay, can he devs even spell fair.. LOL 6 mins for master, yeah right. If some can do it easy, you rule. I was gone for 2 weeks, came back to get masters and get nailed no matter what I do, no matter who I take etc..
Ok done venting, help me beat this so I can get on with things. LOL
I guess the "experts" love it, going rate tonight is 10k for masters..

My dervish did it in about 4:50 (3rd time through). Going back with my ranger though, it does seem a bit tougher now. But I attribute that in part to the groups I joined. There are two big tactical problems people seem to have with this mission:
They keep attacking the Blasphmey instead of capturing the rifts. This leads to the Last Rites hex and the Bouncing Death Balls when he dies. Wash, rinse, wipe. On his own, he doesn't capture the alter that fast. Ignore him. You have plenty of time to take a rift before dealing with him. They don't understand the mechanics of capturing the rifts/alter. They are captured by your presence (1 pip/char), not by killing the enemies. If you run off after killing the Margos, you will not capture it and more nasties WILL spawn out of the rifts. The more bodies under the rift, up to four, the faster it's captured. (Seriously. I've been left alone under a rift by teammates with my single pip of capture and got attacked by spawns that could have been prevented.)

5:48 on the second try (first try failed outright) with a guildie, 3 heroes apiece, with my Ellie. (I think my guildie brought a Dervish.)
There is one particular key to this mission and it's actually the standard Mo/Me prot monk. The basic point is that this eliminates half the worry (Blasphemy casting Last Rites when you kill it) due to the fact that Last Rites of Torment is a hex, and such monks usually carry Revealed Hex or Inspired Hex as a hex removal solution.
Normally you can't chain-cast Revealed or Inspired Hex, because it will replace itself with the hex that you just removed - however, you are not allowed to 'steal' monster only skills in this manner so the replacement part of the spell fails leaving Revealed or Inspired Hex still its own self. Since these skills have no recharge time, a 5 energy cost and only require 2 Inspiration Magic to regain 5 energy in the process (meaning that they can be chain-cast against monster hexes virtually without limit), Last Rites of Torment is a minor threat at worst because of this easy removal. If you have two so-equipped prot monks, you might even not have to worry about killing Blasphemy too often at all, and should have no worries about holding the Altar of Lyssa. Not that you really should kill it all the time but it makes it easier knowing you can do so much more safely than otherwise.
If you have a primary Mesmer in the party, they should definitely carry Inspired or Revealed Hex as well. At 15 FC, it can be cast in half a second; combined with the 0.75 second aftercast (and, again, no recharge) this means you can cleanse someone of Last Rites once every 1.25 seconds.
(BTW, does Last Rites trigger on ALL party members, even those off by the rifts, or does it only trigger on those within cast radius of the Blasphemy when it dies?)
The only real threats monster-wise are Torment Claws (Margonites are basically NEVER a danger in Nightfall in general, unless you over-aggro), and these can also be handily dealt with by the prot monks, who can use Spirit Bond and Protective Spirit on your front liners, causing Torment Slash to actually heal you in most cases.
It's not all that hard of a mission, it just takes good strategy and, as I said, two prot monks makes things a lot easier.

i dont get it. Why do people have problems with this mission?
Its so easy to get masters, 6 minutes of ample time. Call targets and your hench will attack targets...simple.
Ive done it 3 times and has masters on each maybe there NEW ai problems, since i havent done it since last major update

i did masters on my first try with a random group of ppl (no tembuilding),
the only thing you had to have to enter in group was lightbringer 2+, and take Lightbringer Gaze, spamming it makes everything quite easy

The key to this mission (as far as doing it quick goes), is not to panic when the Blasphemy comes running toward the middle. Ignore him and try to take over a portal until the middle is about half-way. If you're quick enough, you should be able to take over a portal before that happens.
Just make sure you control the middle while the waves of Margonites come at you (should be about three IIRC), then go straight for one of the three portals. When you take over one of the portals, go back to the middle and destroy the Blasphemy and his Unbound Energies, recover the middle, and then head for another portal. Rinse and repeat.
Minions help a lot with damage, but they can be a hinderance because they will attack the Blasphemy no matter what you target. Might consider bringing two SF eles instead of an MM, as Searing Flames will outright detroy the Unbound Energies in seconds - before they have a chance to inflict their massive spike damage.
Either way, the idea is to kill the portal groups as fast as possible. Of course the LB Gaze helps a lot, but I've easily done it without that, and even without any ranks in LB.

Searing flames eles make short work of the energy balls real quickly, saves a lot of time. A ranger with d-shot for the tormant claws also helped me a lot. maybe bring a snare to slow these enthusiastic hammer warriors/reapers a little, it can be somewhat annoying to manage aggro in a round chamber. Nukers are nice anyway, if the clerics cast spell breaker, just cast deep freeze+meteor shower on the character next to him(just be sure not to hit the blasphemy on accident)
My perfect group would look like:
D-shot ranger
Fire nuker
2 monks
the rest
I never even needed lightbringers gaze, I had quite a lot of fun in DoA when a team found out i had no lightbringer rank at all
we pased the mission successfully though

was what I did masters with. All you need is DPS in this thing and a few interupts - with that level of pain everything just sort of insta dies.
Give both barrage rangers inspired and revealed hex as well to clean up the last rites.

Thanks for all the tips. I am currently tying to get my ranger through, with heroes/henchies. When I did it a few weeks ago (one sword) Each group agroed one at a time, last night they all ran up at once. Devs playing with the code again I guess. One guy said "The devs have it easy at first so their buddies/beta testers can breeze through, then they make it hard so their buds feel uber.." (I mention this only to show how dumb the concept is and to help dispell stupid rumors).
Hockster
The guy who said it's made easy in alpha doesn't know what's he's talking about.
Set Koss and a healer hero to guard the middle altar. Those two can easily keep control of it. You can take the last hero and hench and roll through the other three portals fairly easily. Masters is very doable with just hero and hench.

Is the goal to just close the rifts? Can we do that and be done, or do we need to kill a few things first? I was thinking (grab your tin foil hats) that 3 55 monks could simply stand by each rift (one at each), tank the damage and close them, then viola mission done.
Can't be that easy can it?

Can't be that easy can it? No, you need more teammates than enemies and less than 4 enemies to begin to capture. (there's a max of 4 pips to the capture bar, and more than 4 on each side fighting for control is a wash) And you still have to kill the Blasphemy and his balls at the end.

Figured as much LOL. I'm currently testing a barrage ranger build and learning how to use it. My previous one was just not cutting it.

When I first went through this mission with my ele, it took me over 20 attempts to crack it... 'twas pain incarnate.
Then, yesterday, I mastered it 3 times with 3 different characters ^^
3 SF spikers and one Sandtorm spiker, coupled with a tank, 2 healers and a prot made VERY short work of just about everything ^^ Switch out 1 SF for a MM on the 3rd go through and you get carnage. But I agree, this one can be very frustrating...

Well I gave up on it and the POE title. I'm gone after this chapter anyway, Firefly will be coming out in 2008 and I'm sure beta will start soon enough. That coupled with L.O.T.R and Star Trek coming soon I'm told, will more than keep me busy. Word in game is many missions are being made harder to stop farming etc, and to keep people from finishing the game so fast. I'm tired of being treated like the enemy by GW.
Thanks for all the tips.

Very easy, here you go:
1. I'm Assassin.
2. My Hero's don't have runes at all.
3. My Hero's have kind of unsual skill-bar
4. Flaweless
5. Master Reward in 5:23.

I did it in about five minutes with a guildie. She went minion master, I had my ritualist summoning up spirits. I agree that this mission can be tricky, it took me a couple of tries with just heroes and hench before I gave up and asked for help. PuGs didn't help at all as they only went after Blasphemy, so I eventually asked a guildie to come along with me just so I could get past the mission and continue the game.
After dispatching the margonites that went for the middle, I summoned up Bloodsong and Recuperation close to the middle and left Koss and Tahlkora there to defend the altar. Then me and my guildie proceeded to storm over the margonites with the remaining heroes and minions, one rift at a time.
Other spirits I used were Shelter, Union and Displacement which I made sure to have up at all times since they nicely prevented some damage. In the end I was surprised at how easy it was once you find the right tactic and some really good company.

This mission is not easy to master. The best time I had was 5:01. One option is to take two MMs. Here is a detailed guide on getting masters.

It is kind of hard at first but if you get the strategy right, you can do masters by heroes and hench.
1) Flag your heroes to the middle, killing off magronites charging toward to the center. Should take about 2 minutes.
2) Now Flag your heroes to one of the altars, preferabily close to the torment claw (of course kill the torment claw first) and kill all the mobs there and capture the altar.
3) You might notice that a blastphomy taking over the center shrine, ignore it, flag your heroes around the blastphomy and take over to the 2nd altar. You should be able to kill all the mobs before the blastphomy takes over the center shrine.
4) Kill the blastphomy in the center shrine.
5) Flag your heroes to the next altar and killing all the mobs there, job done.
This is the most important part. It really matters not what your class is, but you will have to call targets, hit control - left mouse, so that you and the heroes kill one mob quickly and efficiently, moving on to next mob. Good luck.

Well all of this certainly worked... did masters with heroes/hench on dervish today
Only had to kill blasphemy 2 or 3 times, taking shrines by flagging heroes went pretty easy too
(oh and A LOT of calling)

Yeah my ranger got Masters his first time through, but now my mesmer is completely stuck. Last Rites of Torment is the worst thing they could have done to that mission. I end up getting spiked by the Unbound Energies in 4 seconds.
Basically it comes down to:
Do you go after the Blasphemy and the Energies and get killed by the Margonites?
Do you go after the Margonites, ignore The Blasphemy and let him take the altar while getting killed by a Torment claw?
Decisions, decisions...

I just did it today, mastered in under five minutes with nothing but heroes and hench. The wiki tips work. Flag Koss and Talkora in the center altar. They can easily hold it. Rest of the team caps the other altars quite easily.
