One problem. Ebon and Zealous are both snathe mods. You can't have a Zealous Ebon Scythe. EDA should be cast pre battle since it is a battle preparation skill. The duration is long and the recast quick and cheap.

Exactly. Your scythe is already AoE you don't need epidemic. Also you need a rez. sig in your bar if you plan on getting somewhat decent PvP.

why does everyone assume every build posted is for PvP? not trying to offend anyone but i would ask what he's using the build for, before ripping it apart...i know I'm not as l33t as some of you but just common courtesy...and he's using epidemic because unlike a scythe that only hits 3 targets at a time and only blinds those 3 targets while EBA is up and you use an attack skill....epidemic makes sure it hits all adjacent foes around the three he is fighting as well....i have to try this when i get home and see how it works and then post my opinionations (misspelled on purpose) on the build.

As for the ebon vs zealous, i'd run the zealous myself with this build, the Dust Cloak is already converting your damage to ebon/earth which will trigger EDA

I'm not sure why people post PvP builds in this section anyway. There is a whole other section devoted specifically to PvP builds. I've run EdA with epidemic once and found that it really isn't that much different. It's easier just to hit tab and target the next enemy, smack him and you catch a couple more enemies. The epi slot would be better spent on one of the interventions. Those things are life savers no matter where you play but for PvE most definately. Mystic Regen is good and mitigates a lot of damage, but there are times when that intervention will save your butt, like when you run up on some lvl 28 ele boss who hits you with a gigantic chain lightning strike and bam you're down to like 10% health with enemies beating the hell out of you. That's when you wish you had an intervention on.

This is a PvE build, not for PvP, I don't play pvp. I use the epidemic to make sure everyone is blind. Tested it with jade knights worx like a charm. This is a nice blind spreader. The res is an option although I never take res, my heros have rebirth so why take res
