Warrior Profession doesn't include all those varieties of combatant as Angel describes.
It is very obvious that they are intended to mark a very narrow function of combat and not the spectrum of martial arts, as pretty much any melee combatant could be coined "warrior" whether they swing a sword, scythe or daggers. Faking katana use certainly doesn't put them anywhere near Samurai, and no amount of visual alteration and adjustments would coin that identity, nor most of the others.
As for comparison to WoW, most of those non-attractive options involve other races, not making your super hot female elf ugly. Which goes back to the point that brining race options in would be better than new visual models only slightly different than the exsisting human models but with even greater payloads in armor options.

If you look at the history, I doubt you'll find much warriors that are as bulky as what we have in GW.

There is nothing wrong with beauty. I like beauty, and I like Guild Wars.
There is nothing wrong with uniqueness, either, and plainness, and conservativeness, and weirdness, and even ugliness, in my opinion. Perhaps there is nothing wrong even with prejudism... not that those who prefer beauty are prejudiced. They are human.
I went back to Wow (very begrudgingly) not because Guild Wars lacked variety but because I missed playing with my real life friends who refused to buy Guild Wars. I will attempt not to post on this subject anymore.

Whether the OP is playing Guild Wars or not, still raises a good point, that most characters generally give off an anorexic feel.
If you are running around three continents, you probably will not be overweight, but at the same time your muscles would be toned and you would not look like a Barbie or Ken doll/action figure.
When I choose armor, I try to find more modest armor, something that actually looks like armor.
Armor can look functional and good looking at the same time, I'd like to see that in the next chapter.
