Can a lvl 6 defeat his Doppelganger?

Or in other words, will the doppelganger be the same level as his/her original copy?

yes done it as a lvl 4 monk

A monk can do it at any level it can keep Prot Spirit up... just wand it to death with as low hp as possible.

Its probably possible as a lvl6 Ranger too... just pack a skill of spirits and just degen and hope it dies before its finished with the spirits

ok i'm assuming ure a ranger primary whats ure secondary lots of options in there if its mesmer i'd say pump up domination and go hide somewhere in the lvl (pillars) and empathy him to death

The doppleganger is a joke if you are a necromancer. Just bring skills that sacc health like order of the vampire, top it with awaken the blood. You just have to stand there and let the dopple sacc himself to death. regardless of your lvl you should get the dopple and the bonus.

I tried this recently and it seems to not work anymore.

I've beaten doppleganger with everyone Prophecy character except for mesmer and by far the quickest and easiest for me was elementalist. Just load up skill bar with a bunch of useless glyphs and enchantments and flare. I set Fire attribute all the way up and just flared the crap out of the doppleganger and beat him in somewhere around 15-20 seconds. He had my health down to about 25% before I beat him. The key is that when the fight starts he starts off by casting enchantments and stuff; whereas, I immediately start flaring him. Before long we just keep flaring each other, but his health is lower than mine by then. Super easy.

ya I did it with my chars before, Prot spirit and mending :P. No need for fancy runes your health is already low.

I tried again and its guaranteed to work as long as you attack the doppleganger with w/e weapon u have equiped. If u r affraid of getting killed, just bring strip enchantment and u should be fine.
