-vampiric hornbow of fortitude [5 life stealing, +30 health, +15% damage above 50% health]
usage
just pick out a target, most likely to be a spellcaster like a monk/ele/mesmer. cast hidden caltrops on them and follow up with any of the attack skills. if your target becomes free of crippling, either recast hidden caltrops if its recharged, or have some fun and cast scorpion wire. it is likely they are runnin from you, so they should get knocked down, and you will teleport to them . once you have teleported to them, use screamign shot if you want to make em bleed, and if your in danger from other monsters [pve] or other players [pvp] just cst deaths retreat onto an ally that is nearby.
please note that this build is not going to win everything for you, but it is still fun to play with imo. if this build has already been posted, i will obviously not take credit for it.
some ranger fun

-rest into expertise [x +minor rune] Just one tip when you make a ranger build (unless it's some weird build like Famine, which doesn't make use of expertise): expertise must be your priority. That's how rangers manage their energy, despite the fact they have no adrenaline attacks and only 3 pips of regen. See how many points you need in expertise to be able to spam the skills of your build, spend them, and then check what's left. Generally, the minimum for a build filled with 5 energy skills is 8 expertise - most of the time, even in this case people will go with 9 as it's also a breakpoint for the few 10 energy skills they may carry. Other builds are much more energy consuming and require even more expertise to be played. If your main bow attacks cost 10 energy for example, you may consider going with 12 expertise. For some builds like Quick/Needling Shot builds, you need even more (13).
Back on topic: if I'm right, you have only 5 attribute points left to spend for expertise so you have 2+1 exp, which is not enough. Do you really need 8 deadly arts just for scorpion wire?
Now the problem with Hidden Caltrops in this build is crippling is not immediately covered. You can cover it with bleeding the next shot with a good timing, but not at the same time as you would with Cripshot and Apply Poison. And it's not spamable every attack as CripShot is. The good point is it costs only 5 energy, which is less than CripShot, even after expertise reduction.
Now concerning the bow attacks, it's hard to comment them since because of your energy problem you won't be able to spam them as you should...
Tempest Pheonix
yea true..but this build mainly uses low cost skills..most are spells i think..so mayb ei could switch to a zealous bow mod..or invest in expertise
