How many GW expansions are planned?

I'm curious to know if there is a planned number of expansions for GW and then they'll be done?

Also, has there been a set date for the 4th expansion?

One every 6 months is the plan. No official word on chapter 4 yet.

I remember reading that 10 campaigns were planned, one every 6 months (a plan considered out the window before Factions finally came out).

The next chapter is rumoured to be Guild Wars: Utopia due to talk of the domain guildwarsutopia.com being registered. And I expect that this chapter will be out sometime in April, like Factions last year.

Think so Black Knight, but there might have been some tweaks somewhere in the process.

I think that the system requirements might be a bit higher. Due to tweaks that they have made in the past. Not saying that someone with a lower end computer will not be able to play it just saying following their track record expect a bit more power will be needed to be able to set your graphics to "High Qualiy".

I think they will gradually increase the "recommended" requirement by adding more sfx when you put detail on highest. Also, Vista needs higher requirements for the same fps, so I think they're gonna tweak it a bit.

Utopia was a hoax. Check the stories. They should announce the next chapter pretty soon though.

If ANet does it as in the past, the release will be about one month after the preview weekend.

So everyone will know the release date as soon as they announce the preview and pre-order bonus pack.

Well the domain was registered though, but one of the devs/spokesmen said it was something they were working on, but was not the title for the next chapter.
I only hope Gwen will make a comeback.

Now before you go saying that a "Major Update" could mean just a patch, read this.

It is HIGHLY unlikely that they would even say that a there would be Major Update to the Franchise and mean that the game will be updated. It is also unlikely that these two things are seperate.

EDIT: Btw I believe Utopia to be the Project Name, and not the name of the game.

Maybe It's an expansion this time.
