I have this crazy error...Whenever I try to get to Yahtenda Canyons, It goes to the loading screen then comes up with this error that says "Guild Wars has encountered an unrecoverable graphics driver error and must terminate." I'm not sure what to do, it gives me a link but tells me that I need to reinstall my graphics driver. I'm not willing to risk losing my graphics driver until i've done everything I can to fix the problem. My graphics controller is an Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics controller. If anyone has the same issues or can help please reply. I can't progress further until I can get into Vabbi.

I have the same card and problem

Unless you are willing to spen 80-120 dollars on a new card, just find a friend with a better graphics card. I've found that there are only 4-5 of those areas and they are only in vabbi. Once past there, you will be fine

How would I even get into Vabbi if it's going to crash like that every time I try to enter? I was thinking that when it does that it just freezes up your end of the game and your charicter is still logged in so...maybe you could be taken to the cloesest city or outpost.

The scourge of crappy onboard graphics solutions! The best way would be to invest in a half decent stand alone graphics card.

Well...I'd obviously get a new card if I could. I'm looking for some kind of fix or some advice on what I could do.

Can't offer any more help given the details you posted. What's your complete systems stats? Also how much of your memory is that onboard solution sucking up?

Have you tried running GW under the -dx8 switch? Try that and see if it clears it up.
