Ive realized that Assassin's Promise in place of shadow prison is even better... for PvE sadly. But if you do want to try some PvE out ive ofrmulated a build that takes that spiking ability of shadow prison with the fast kill then go straight to next target ability of Assassin's Promise.
Promise of Fatality build
1. Assassin's Promse (gain around 15 energy and full recharge of skills) Elite
2. Burst of Aggression (Attack 33% faster for 5 seconds)
3. Black Lotus Strike (Follows Hex and counts as off-hand attack with energy gain)
4. Horns of the Ox (Dual attack with knockdown to foes not adjacent to other foes)
5. Black Spider Strike (Follows Hex and counts as off-hand attack with poison)
6. Tiwsting Fangs (Dual attack with bleeding and deep wound)
7. Utility (either dash, Siphon speed, lightbringers gaze, or another skill)
8. Ressurection Signet
As this is a PvE build you do not need to teleport in to spike unless you feel the need you may make that the utility.
Making quick work of the monkless or semi-monkless monsters will be due to the recharge. You cast Assassin's Promise on your target and spike with 2-6 on the skill bar in order from first to last. According to most PvE monsters this will take them out or with help from other players it should take them out in the 10 to 12 seconds you have of Assassin's Prmoise. Your Skills are recharge and you gain about 15 energy. You tab to the next target immediately since your at full energy and recharged and repeat. You are constantly spiking.
The weaknesses are hex removal, stances, and vulnerability to frontline since you wont need recharge time. If you lose the hex you are stuck with the 45 recharge. To avoid this as best possible you may bring Wild Blow as the utility against pesky stancers, bring Siphon Speed as the utility so u can still use attack skills if your combo fails and the target survives. Bring Feigned Neutrality or another massive healing spell as they will recharge fast as you kill more.
Note: Assassins have to chose their targets wisely as to not waste their time recharging on someone who was bound to die the next second. This build totally disregards that. You can put on Assassin's Prmoise, not get in a single attack and they will die and you will move on, no big deal and no whacking for 15 damage for a while.
Assassin's Promise quite good in PvE

Assassins promise is a fantastic PvE skill however it is a bit complicated the way you've set it out.
No-one should cast assassin's promise on a foe with full health. It's too hard to deplete there health bar quickly. So rather, Exchange your utility slot for a hex spell such as siphon speed, deliver your combination then cast assassin's promise when the foe is just easing on death. This way you won't run into an awful surprise with the foe healing or the hex being removed.
And with your combo it probably better to use black spider strike as your first skill, continue on with Horns of the Ox then as your second off hand use Black lotus strike. This way you use the energy then regain it back, then you'll have enough energy to use twisting fangs and Assassins promise.

yeah I just capped AsP... i love it! the black line is deff the way to go...
I believe my set up right now is
1.Golden Phoenix Strike
2.Black spider strike
3.Twisting Fangs
4.AsP
5.Shroud of Distress ( just incase I cant get healing right away)
6.Siphon Speed
7.Shadow Refuge ( I know its sucky but I need some kind of healing(
8.Rez ( or sig cap)
I like conditions a lot... and with the DA of Twisting Fangs... this degen is out for a killing
Im still trying to get a feel for something to be a lead attack ( just incase the hex gets removed too fast)
Since I always try and keep Shroud up, GPS is pretty good, and then I can always just inflict the DW and bleeding from Twisting fangs.
I believe my stats are
dag-9
Shadow-10
crit-13
deadly-3 or 4 ( AsP last for 8 seconds)

deadly-3 or 4 ( AsP last for 8 seconds) Absolutely no point in running GPS and BSS. They are both offhands and let you by pass a lead but you use 2 offhands and wats the point when you can jump straight into a dual. Also if you are using a hex black lotus strike > GPS.
Oh and also to the OP, no point in using Black Lotus before Black Spider because you want to use it later so your energy gain is more usefull.

Actually i did say to bring siphon speed in a later paragraph. After more testing I figured out that you can also you can use dark prison to make this build like shadow prison because it recharges after every kill making the spike even faster.

And that build is here. Only on the second page.
I suggest Serenity change Blades of Steel to Death Blossom. Their damage output don't have much difference, but Death Blossom have AoE benefit. It makes your next victim easier to die under Assassin's Promise. Also, it is better to switch the order of Black Lotus Strike and Black Spider Strike. This way you can utilize all the energy gain from Assassin's Promise.
