hello,

im new in GW, i have no Nightfall atm, i want to start the first campain with good and cheap farming char. ive seen good opinions about 55, but ive also heard he's expensive - and i have NOTHING atm.
can you suggest a good build for me? or maybe 55 is still a good idea? i would really want to make one, but im afraid i will be too poor for that.

thanks in advance,
whig

Try making a Me/Mo 55 or an E/Mo 55. Both are cheap and both have farming options available to them. I personally started with a N/Mo using spiteful spirit, but now that death magic runes have shot up to 6K, you may as well just make the real thing.

In the end, there's no replacement for the real Mo/x 55, but it is hard to get the money for one initially.

is this "Real Mo/x 55" really so expensive? i mean... is it possible for me to start (with NOTHING) the mo/x, and get everything i need in -let's say- 2 weeks (but remember i dont know HOW TO get that i dont know any prices ect), or thats more like half year of hard work?

i would really like to start with Mo/x if ill be able to equip him one day. but maybe making other char to get money for mo/x is better idea. if oyu suggest other char - which one? but if i will use other char, i dont want to use any of "55s" and any monks. what are good, CHEAP non-55's, non-monk, farming chars?

thanks.

Id suggest just playing through the game with your new monk, by the time you get to the areas where 55s really come into their own you should have enough to make one. Also keep the -50 cresta to save yourself abit.

can Mo/x be effective with gear i can get for free (i dont mean im going to bag for items, just want to know if he can fight anyone with very cheap stuff) ?
and... Mo/x - what's the x ? can it be JUST Me ? can i get pure Mo to lv20 and then choose that "x"? is it hard to get lv20 with pure Mo with crap gear (also remember im a new player and i dont know anything)?

To reduce your health to 55hp you need 5 superior runes and the -50hp cresta, this is the only real expense. But can add up. And ofcourse a spare set of armour as you don't want 55hp all the time.

From this im going to presume you're still pre-searing. You HAVE to have a 2ndary proffession in PVE, although ofcourse you dont have to use it's skills. A Mo/x basically means monk primary, there are lots of 55 builds that have variable 2ndary prof as this is usually the damage dealer.

You can change your secondary profession later on.

Do you have factions? If so you could go Mo/E and sliver farm bosses.

i have, but i want to 'make' original campain first. do you still suggest Mo/E for this? i was thinking also about Mo/Me or Mo/W... hard too chose, cause icant find any comparison between those.

Superior monk runes have gone down quite a bit so they shouldn't be too expensive. You get the off-hand for free from the Cities of Ascalon quest and you can buy a totem axe pretty cheap.

when i arrived the first time in droknars forge i had barely enough money to buy the new armor there (around 8k) but i could have saved money i i hadn't bought weapons and stuff on the way. i think by the time you beat the lich you'll have enough money to buy the runes (it's not like they still cost 100k+ like in the good old days )

more expensive will be the 1k fee if you want to enter the Underworld because you need practise and will fail at first

A Elementalist would be better for farming at first i guess there are plenty builds and places.

PS: First beat the Game once or twice and THEN start farming my warrior was quite shocked when she discovered the griffins.

if its your first time playing gw, just play the game. dont worry about farming yet, you wont have the skill. high-end farming is probably the hardest part of pve.
