No more ectos for me?

I'm trying for FoW armor and switched to Euro servers to farm ectos. I mastered a build made up to solo smites and got like 2 ecto from that out of like 4 runs. Then I kept doing the runs and have not got any ecto. It has been like 15 runs and not a single ecto. I don't get it. It's like A-Net figured I do not deserve it anymore.

I want my FoW armor but i'm about to give up, it's just wasting my time now. What is going on? Any suggestions?

IMHO, I think anet tinkered with the ecto's drop rates some, making them drop less, as it was doing the clearing the chambers quest, and the Ice Wastes *smites* that run used to yeild around 4-8 ectos dropped, here lately doing the same thing, yet getting either nothing or OMGOSH!!! 2 ectos, this is with a 4 man trap group of guildies/alliance members. That would in turn explain the fluxuation of ecto prices from 9.5k-11k also, I've noticed that obsidian shard prices have been slightly increasing some, so maybe either the drop rates of both have been tinkered with??? or not as many people farming to sell to the trader or so. But, remember they are all random drops, so good luck, and those are just my experiences as of lately.

I think that it might be the anti-farm code.

I guess i'll just start farming the beach until the "code" (which i doubt there is) starts going away. I just don't get it. How can A-Net be so cruel to an innocent boy like me

Does the farming code go away if you don't play there for a while?

Do a couple of missions and your problems will be solved. I can tell when my drops start to stink then i do THK or other harder missions and my drops get way better.

I switched to soloing FoW beach amd started getting like 1-3 drops a run there, never 0. Then after a couple runs I went back to UW and got like 1-3 a run, and never 0. So I think I just have to keep switching back and forth. Getting my first piece of Warrior FoW soon =). Gonna get the unmodded version so I can mod it. I'm excited.
