I've ran this mission 4 or 5 times now and have gotten whupped on each time. Every time it seems to be going well, but falls apart at the same exact part every time without fail. When holding the fort, when the perfected armor comes in. It seems we throw everything we have into killing the perfected armor and the jade armors, but nothing kills them. Next thing you know were overrun with monsters and the king gets killed. We've tried splitting up and defending both gates, and just guarding the king as a large group, nothing works.
Is there a good strategy for killing the Perfected armor?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thunderhead keep is kicking my butt!

The perfected armor is just a level 28 melee boss. There are many counters to melee classes; every class can counter melee.
Warrior: Just armor up, your monk will have an easy time healing you. Riposte, Deadly Riposte
Ranger: Throw Dirt, Whirling Defense, Dust Trap, Oath Shot, repeat
Ele: Blinding Flash, Ennervating Charge, Wards
Necro: Enfeeble, SS, Spoil Victor, Curses
Mesmer: Just take a good mesmer for easy mode. Too many to list
Also, if you don't have enough damage to spike the perfected armor quickly, you should instead dedicate one player to shut him down, while the rest of the team kills the other Jade/Mursaat accompanying it. If you spend all your time trying to kill the perfected armor, the rest of your foes will tear you apart. Also, try "Search." THK has come up once or twice on this forum.

You are keeping correct target priority? In prophecies pretty much leave the boss until the end (except Monks). That's different from Factions and Nightfall - they do not do double damage.
Ironhammer isn't infused (you and your team are - correct?) so he can *not* take any hits from Mursaat. That's another reason to leave the bosses until the ends - Ironhammer will start getting the regular Mursaat attacking him if they pile up.
Camp the king (not too close as he will get Spectral Agony on him and die - I try and stop them at the top of the stairs), kill monks/casters/rangers/warriors/bosses, and I've never really had an issue. The hardest part is if I can not realistically bring enough anti-knockdown stuff while the 15 giants Giant Stomp constantly (before the Mursaat) - with heroes I no longer have that issue. That and if Ironhammer decides he can wammo out there and take on a bunch of mursaat himself (nothing one can do about that).

"Camping with Ironhammer" is definitely the easiest way I found of completing this mission. I sometimes do it with hench just for fun. If you're wanting full-team protection maybe you could consider taking a Ritualist with:
[skill]Boon of Creation[/skill][skill]Ritual Lord[/skill][skill]Union[/skill][skill]Shelter[/skill][skill]Displacement[/skill][skill]Shadowsong[/skill][skill]Flesh of my Flesh[/skill] *optional*
I had a blast with that. It's just general team protection and if you're all huddled up round the king it works like a charm. Add in an Ele with Ward against Harm, or Ward against Foes/Melee can work well. Also, to help with getting to the keep I found Ward of Stability to work like a charm against those Stone Summit Herders are their irritating Giant Stomp.

*looks at GWG* Fix this please..
Thanks for the help guys, we finaly got past thunderhead keep tonight. I think one thing that made a big diff was I use a necro and so does one of my sons. We never realy realized what soul reaping was all about, and never realy put any attribute points towards it. We ran it with reaping almost maxed out and what a difference it made! I had an abundance of energy through the whole mission! I kept hitting them with faintheartedness, weaken armor, then misc blood spells, worked great.
Once we made it past the perfected armor thing, some bonehead starts knocking on the front door. Like I'm gonna lose the fight to answer the door! A quick glance out the window confirmed it was a good choice, just a bum with a shovel- most likely wanting to shovel my sidewalk, or beat me over the head with the shovel and rob me. Guess he was S.O.L tonight.

Are you doing this with hero/hench? A guild member and I did this with all heroes that all had pets and an mm and it was amazingly easy doing it that way. We did it on a whim just to see if it would work. We were able to each stay on a side and didn't even help each other.
We had 8 pets and roughly 18-20 minions between us by using 2 necro heroes, 2 monks, 2 rangers and us. I know some people poo poo having pets but I've added a pet to each of my heroes and gotten them all leveled to 20 and I can do some pretty fun stuff without having to PUG now.

I never found any difficulty with this mission. When I played with my ele I brought 2 sf ele + 1 MM heroes the rest were henchies. I used the wall trick to finish the mission. I aggroed Dragnar away from the 2 mobs near him, and killed him alone. Then without the doors opening the monsters kept coming and I just nuked them all, while I was on wall near the catapults . After awhile when it seemed no monsters were appearing I talked with the King for the doors to open and Confessor Dorian's group showed up. This method worked for me to complete the mission, but not the bonus.
