I propose the following new classes for addition to the next GW. They are all based on the concept of Ancient Greece!

Myrmidon
An ancient Greek Elite Fighter that was part of Achilles’ is personal fighting squad.

Spartan
The ancient Greek special forces. This group of fighters was hard, ruthless, pain enduring and very disciplined. They fought with rage and they had exceptional speed, stamina and strength.

Seer
Ancient Greek sorcerers. They had the power to curse, predict the future, poison and heal. They were feared by many.

If I think of more, I will post them here!
Thanks

All Greek Worlds for classes we already have in the game.

Myrmidons and Spartans can most easily be classified as a Warrior profession, although in actuallity that is just the name of their fighting group, not a particular class or function they occupied, as they could easily be the archers or seige operators of such sorts.

I would spend time thinking of something lacking instead of something that is already in the game under another name.

I do want to see a Legionnaires (but I think they are Romans). Not sure what they can do, but they just sound cool.

I only see Seer as something of potential.

If you want a class from an ancient civilization have a look at the Aztecs/Incas.
That style is fascinating! Oh and check out my Concept Class as well

You could have different types of warriors like in all other RPG. If you look at D&D rules, you will find many different classes with similatities. This doesn't make them identical, plus I don't think that the people that have written the D&D rules are lacking just because they have thought of so many classes that have similarities. Anyway, nobody is forcing you to accept my opinion, but I didn't asked to be critisized by you either. If you think you are in a place to pass judgment, why don't you tell us what your suggestions are instead of just being rude?

Thank you

I agree! This could be something with potential! I think that some interesting classes could come from this.

I was playing NWN recently, so for a short time I was into the D&D rules and classes...

But do keep in mind the unique class system of GW. While in most game, there are many classes, some that are similar yet differnt (Paladin vs Blackguard for example). But as their differnt class are a single entity, so it can allow crosss of same skills/feats/abalites.

In GW, it is run by Dual Proffession system, which means you could make tons of your own customize classes. (Wa/Mo could be a paladin, and Wa/N could be consider as Blackguard, etc). So therefoe, a new class sound be something of unique, and not share of the same attribute/skills as that of the old one, so it would add on, and not take away, more choices of class combinations.

But I think certain degree of share function is still allow, IF their game play mechanic can be twist a bit. Thus Sword, Axe, Hammer, Dagger, and Scythe are all melee weapons, but they all play differently. (by their natural stats or by their associate skills)

So keep that in mind if you are making a Concept Class with similar weapon skills or spell type. Make them play more differntly than the existing ones.

What ActionJack said, we gain variations from combination. New classes need to have completely different features to make more original combinations, we will gain new variations of Warrior from combinations of Warrior with new classes, just like Warrior/Assassin.

Learn before suggesting.
