hello this is my first post on guru so dont be too harsh.

I have a basic proposal, i hope to see in future campaigns. First off no more new classes but instead alot more improvement and caretaking of the old. For instance i have noticed that many people post thier revolutionary new class ideas. These ideas are very simmialr to the already exsistant classes in usage and skills. instead of these "new" classes could a-net add on too old classes with things such as
-attributes
-skills types
-weapons(like the scythe just new weps for old classes)
please leave your thoughts/improvements

thank you for your time and if u dont like the idea please say so kindly

Il say we have too many when I can go a day without seeing at least one of each class without searching.

Anet's business model requires 2 new professions every chapter, so quit hoping

I have to agree with Placebo on this one. Maybe 2 more new classes, but thats it. Once you hit 14 its too much to keep track of. Instead, maybe make smiting more viable in PvE(i can keep hoping right?) and give sins a steel bat instead of a nerf bat.

The crazy new classes allow things to change fairly drastically without disrupting the foundation we already have. The attribute lines are pretty rigidly defined - death will never be a high direct damage line, ride the lightning will always be pricey just because of its teleport, etc.

As skills are endlessly added to the old attributes, the net effect will be.... power creep. There isn't any real way around it. Old skills will be discarded as better ones that perform the same function take their place (such as Screaming Shot > Power Shot that I mention over and over). Skill balances are long in coming, and there will always be cream and the rest will be sod.

This effect is probably why 15 out of 25 of the new skills added to a class are elite - that way the base of what the classes have to offer are not changed too much.

That's not to say there won't be Flails added to Warriors or a boomerang equivalent added to Paragons - eventually there will be too much breadth in the core classes that new attributes will be added. Can only put in so many Critical Chops, after all.

We'll probably see cross-attribute skills that are not Lion's Comfort first. Prismatic elementalist skills; maybe eventually cross-class attributes so that the Necro Warrior isn't so much of a joke, anymore.

In the end crazy variety is a good thing; I've been playing since the E3 for Everyone event. So for around a year and a half the game was mostly the same and stagnant to me. The insanity we're seeing is so much better than that.
