More Awards for Guild Wars: Nightfall

I just got my latest issue of PC Gamer. It names Guild Wars: Nightfall as its Best MMO of the Year and its Best Value of the Year. I'd post a link, but it's not on line yet. They also name Factions as its runner-up for Best MMO.

Best MMO of the Year /agree on PvE not whatsoever on PvP
Factions winning anything /confused, wonder where PC gamer hides all the weed.

Despite Popular belief on this forum, Factions was a good game, just not as good as the other two, but still good.

Congratulations to ANet, a well-deserved award(s).

IMO, the problem players had with Factions is that it was radically different from Prophecies. Most game additions are just more of the same, Factions had a different focus and gates that forced you to follow the storyline. Most people who were new to GW with Factions didn't have the same complaints.

EDIT: the typo was driving me crazy.

I'm not gonna make any statements to turn this into a "Factions Sucked" thread. Please, all of you do the same.

and i'd also like to say that Darcy makes a very valid point.

agin it's not the Industry that pays gw bills! It down to people buying the game.

you also have to look at the what types of games it is competeing with. I don't see wow in the list

Its really quite funny, factions wasn't as good compared to the other guildwars chapters, but it was a hell of a lot better than the other MMO games^^

Hopefully one day, the "Smart Armor System" would be implemented into Guild Wars.

WoW is also 2+ years old at this point, both Factions and Nightfall aren't. Next year you might see the WoW expansion on the list, since they finally managed to get it out, only time will tell.
