How come?

I've bought all GW chapters from NCSoft site and GW online store and yesterda I got two messages ingame saying that I have a special item available for my NF Account, meaning it said that it's from CE. And I used /special and got Vares. Today got the next message saying that I can use /bonus to get the weapons available in Factions CE. I'm just wondering, did ANet make their merchandise online CE's?

I saw a thread that had something to do with this recently. Someone typed it in to see what they had and they had a varesh, did /dancenew and their dervish had the disco ball.

I also saw someone in game freaking about because they just got nightfall standard online, and had the collectors edition dance.

Yes there seems to be some Bug that randomly unlocks Nightfall Collectors Edition for an account. In the case of a friend, he even got the complete Nightfall Campaign this way. I'm quite sure A-Net will fix this ASAP and then do a rollback for the affected accounts.

The only CE that matters is Prophecies...

The bonus weapons are nice, but the dances are kinda on the lame side. (tho, I have to admit, I can't think of a better idea) The fact that there's a glitch of some sort does lessen the value of actually buying the CE version of NF, which I did, but I'm not going to worry about it.

How often do you really see someone dancing? And when you do, does the disco ball really matter?

But he does have a point. I paid the full price for CE of all 3 chapters. I would be pretty annoyed if a "bug" unlocked CE for everyone after I paid a far price for it.

But I'm sure A.net will fix it.

If you bought CE, you got pleny of extra's no? That should be sufficient.

Also, you got Factions weapons you say? Aren't those from the pre-order pack?

I think people who paid for the CE edition have a legitimate reason to be upset. They paid for something that other people didn't, which is not fair, in my opinion.

QFT, I donot mind them having CEs in the online store but Prophecies CE should stay as rare as it is now and never be offered as option in the store.

One thing though, if this is a bug, would they take away the special items from people that have gotten the message?

Wow be more of a sour puss. What are you 7 years old? If someone got something nice like I did and did not pay for it - be happy for them. This is not some kind of competition in some grade school play ground.

Whether they have a reason to be upset or not is not the matter though. This is clearly a bug that will be fixed very soon and it is in the interest of A-Net to fix it. They didn't give those CEs out on purpose. And thus, yes it is pretty much whining and venting where it is not necessary.
A-Net WILL fix this in their OWN interest. They can't just have accounts randomly upgrade themself to campaigns and versions that are not unlocked, can they? And if a handful of people got a free CE in the process... they will either rollback their accounts or just say "okay blast it, our mistake. Lucky roll".

Either way, it is NO legitimation to get as bitter and upset about this issue as some people do.

Lucky for those people who got it unexpectedly, I paid for my Nightfall CE full price, good for you guys, NF CE doesn't really matter to me so i'm not angry/upset with people who got NF CE that didn't pay for it. I haven't really heard from anyone else that I know that actaully had that happen to them. Now I should just tell my friend to check their account to see if it happened to them as well. I doubt it.

Well i paid 70 dollars for my CE, so yeah i might be a little upset too, but honestly i would be 1000 times more upset if it was prophecies CE. I mean it seems as if a LOT Of people have the Nightfall CE anyway, every time i pop up in a busy town I see at least two people with a disco ball or confetti. I find it much funner to just use /dance on my paragon and dervish because that is something you don't see very often. Besides a few screenshots I have only seen one other paragon in game with it, and two dervishes

Honestly, I think that "CE" emotes should be available in the Online store as upgrades for your account... something like $20 for an extra character slot and the emotes (+weapons). I missed out on Prophecies CE, and I really, REALLY want the Divinue Aura... oh well, wishful thinking.
