Starting Up

Ok i played this game when it was being beta tested and a little after it was released so im back again but it wants me to get another version of the game i believe i already have, do i need to do anything to my version? do i need a new version? if so what version should i shoot for if i really want to start playing again?

Did you ever buy a retail version or serial code?

If you are still trying to play from a Beta or Trial code then you will need to purchase a full version of the game. Either from a store or online.

I think you can then add the new serial code to your existing 'trial' account and it will keep your characters.

it wasnt trial or beta at that point it was the release version and i preordered

in that case you shouldn't have to do anything. the game will update to the latest version when you run it then you should be able to play.

which campaign is it?

I'm guessing Prophecies considering thats all there was back during the beta.

OP - Your best bet would be to contact Support and ask them whats going on. (If you really do have the paid-for retail version installed) For us to help you at all you might want to describe the problem with a little more detail. What is the exact message you get when you try to log in? Have you tried deteting your installation and downloading a new version from the GW website? (And plugging in your retail key again) Etc...

Sounds like the same problem I had,did you enter the key using all caps for the letters? I signed in and didn't and it told me to go by a game at the store,so I retried using all caps and got right in.Hope this helps.
