Purchase Dye Preview

This would be an addition to the dye trader, in which you could have access to the preview mode and all dyes for a small fee of 100 or so gold.

I dont know about the rest of the community but I like to fiddle with new weapons and armor quite frequently on how they look dont have the black or white and dont want to shell out plats just to see how it looks.

When I do have the dyes, I dont enjoy changing my character, loading dyes into storage, changing character, going to storage and then switching all the dyes back to the original character. It would make the swapping much less painful if I knew how much of which dye I wanted.

this is personal stuff, not the same for everyone, thing they work on is things that everyone wants, so bring back the 8v8 HoH and lets have a bank/auction house.

Because you don't want it doesn't mean I am the only one who does. People who are not hardcore PvE players would benefit from this due to the fact that they do not have loads of platinum from farming or such to spend on dyes and get the look that they want.

I think that's a good idea, buying dyes and not getting the look you want sucks.

I know, how about a Dye Storage tab, then all your characters have access to your dyes...

Just because you want it, doesn't mean more people do. THat's the stupidest thing people type in these forums and it's all over the place, as if it's a valid argument.

The whole purpose for the idea forum is for discussion of an idea, and I'm surely not going to let some of the ideas here go without argument, cause if/when Anet reads this it looks like a good idea cause there's no argument against....

People who are hardcore PvPers would have plenty of skill to go earn their own damn money, cause the AI is obviously easier than PvP.

I see it as a frivilous update, and quite against the purpose of dye traders, they're there to absorb money, not save money for you. You already have a dye preview, so you don't have to use the dye to see what it is, deal with it.

I keep all my extra dyes on one character so when I want to dye armor or a weapon I have to log off, log onto the character storing the dyes, get the dyes and put them in storage, log off that character, log back on with the character that needs the dyes, get the dyes out of storage, use what I need, log off that character, log back on with my dye storage character, get the unused dyes out of storage, log back off that character, and finally log back on with my original character.

What a waste of time - great suggestion and I hope they address this issue.

It's a waste of time because you make it so.

It's not an "issue" to most people. The people that find dyes problematic do have issues though. Why are you hoarding so many dyes that it becomes a problem? All but black and white should be sold to merchant, and even then...

I even sell my blacks and whites to vendor, gasp...Really, in the time(average) it takes to find a buyer that will pay a decent amount, I could have farmed the difference, with the possibility of a really good drop also.
That same philosophy applies to all things you sell to people, balance time with what you make.
Some of you people put way more effort into selling crap than I do farming.

But I digress.
You people's biggest problem is pack-ratting, and trying to save 10-100gold, and that's where your issues lie, not with cost of dye, ability to dye preview, or storage of dye.

Not only this.

A Preview button for all the equipable shops: Collectors, Armos, Weapons and dyes.

Client sided, lag free, user friendly feature, no reason to disagree it.

Now tht would be a good idea... preview the armour or weapon your about to buy before you screw up
