This is all untested! I'm sorry for posting without properly testing in battle, but it's late and I must go to bed, so I will test this weekend. At least it is okay against target dummies and Isle of Nameless NPCs.
I mostly use GoR on lamentation, but depending on the situation it might be better to use on Iron Mist or even Nightmare weapon. If anyone gets within earshot of bloodsong make them regret it with a double lamentation, but make sure they aren't 'iron misted' or else that skill will not work on them. Ouchie, it's fast damage.
Edit: I put spirit rift instead of wielder's strike because it worked okay in my arena testing so far. Sometimes I'd put nightmare or GoR nightmare on others in the group and wielder's strike wasn't being used. And it can work better as a spike with lamentation if timed just right.

cool, to be honest I can't for the life of me see a way for this NOT to work... permanent iron mist with lotsa life stealing and lightning? how could it be bad?
anshin
sorry if i seem ignorant... but iron mist says damage from all sources... life stealing is one source of damage... right?

Life Stealing does NOT count as damage, it basically saps away health, sometimes this is worded as 'Target foe loses xx health, and you gain xx health'
Losing Health isn't damage either if you read it in a skill description.

No life steal is not considered damage
Just like Bloodspike, prot spirit won't help

iron mist is a terrible skill if your not sure every damage dealer will deal lightening damages imo.
Arkantos
1) You need everybody on your team to do lightning damage
2) Iron Mist is easily removed, and if it is removed then your teasm wasted their time making sure they only do lightning damage.

You are right. I need help with the build.
I wanted to keep GoR, but I also want a snare of some kind. Maybe Ward against Foes?
Or I can go into water magic. I have to try some more things out later.

kinetic armor seems like a poor choice for defense, you build does not have any particularly spammable spells since they do all have rather high recharge unless u plan on non stop spirit rifting. maybe go with a water hex such as [wiki]freezing gust[/wiki] + [wiki]Frigid Armor[/wiki] or [wiki]Armor of Mist[/wiki].
