I will be getting a new computer soon, and I would like to know if it would be able to play Guild Wars on Dial-up.
Processor 2 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+
Cache L2: 1 MB (512 KB per core)
System Bus 2000 MHz
Memory Slots: 2
Type: 533 MHz PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM
Installed: 1 GB (2x512 MB) DIMMs
Capacity: 2 GB main memory
Configuration: 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB or 1 GB DIMMs
Graphics Display Integrated nVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE with 128 MB dedicated video memory and up to 319 MB Total Available Graphics Memory
Also, if my brother and I bought only one copy of the game, would we each be able to create a character and play?
Will this system work for Guild Wars?

Envious
Guild Wars should be able to play on that system, and GW's can be played over Dial-up without much lag, except the updates would take a long to download.
With a new game, you will be given 4 character slots. But, if you want to play together online, you'll each need a separate game.

Thank you very much for the information. Would that be a decent
semi-gaming computer for only $599 new?

$599 for all that.. and no monitor?
Take this for example, with no monitor, much cheaper, and much better components, a post by 'Infested Nexus' of Guru3D.com Forums...

As much as I'd like to get the best for my money, I think I would still rather buy the whole computer as opposed to seperate parts. Thanks for the information though.
