Alright, I am currently working towards the Protector of Cantha Title on my rangers. He is 12/13 and needs this mission. I have tried 5+ times and I miss masters by 1-2 minutes. What I usally run:

Me- Eoe Ranger Beastmaster (Yes, Beastmaster, my pet can hit up to 100 damage)
General Morghan- Anthem of Flame/They're on Fire Paragon with GftE
Koss- Standard Warrior
Souske- SF Nuker (For burning, it synergizes well with Morghan)
Henchies are Cynn, Talon, Sister Tai, and Jamei

Help please =[

1. "Standard Warrior?" They're the worst kind, and unnecessary with the massive damage reduction from "They're on Fire!" Replace with another, half-way decent DPS class (Anoter SF Ele or MM)

2. It takes 5 seconds to cast EoE at the beginning of each fight. That adds up to about a minute total. You lose that minute. Choose a different build. Barrage works well in Tahnakki. No one cares if you pet can hit 100 damage; Barrage can hit 50-60 to 3-4 mobs, which simple math would state that would be 150-240.

I know it's not the best answer, but replace Koss with a minion master (Master of Whispers or Olias). The extra targets do speed that up quite a bit.

Ok, thanks for the help. I guess try going Barrage and use two SF nukers and a MM. And fo henchies I'll bring the Monks and Warriors.

sound good?

Search is good. Try there first.

1. Get an MM
2. Get 2 SF eles or some other high dps heroes
3. Henchies

If theres someone you know that can play half decently (this basically means no w/mo's), get them to take a healing monk, a protection monk, and another high dps hero. I wonder how a 3rd SF would go?

Still not sure why it's a requirement to use SF Nukers in mass quantity. Then again, that's my perspective.

When I last went thru this mission with my Paragon, I brought:
Master of Whispers: MM
Zhed Shadowhoof: Air spiker / Invoke Lightning
Margrid the Sly: Poison and interrupt

Hench were: Talon, Devona (I think, may have been sin hench), Jamei and "Twisted" Sister Tai.

Walked right thru with Masters.

WeWhen I used:

Me- Barrage
2 SF
MM
Monk Henches
Warrior Henches

It went even worse. And I don't know that great of players. I'm in a guild with friends from real life and they didn't play through Factions. Well, except one who is a Wammo.

O_o

EDIT: WOOT, I BEAT IT

Well I decided to join a PuG and it was REALLY good. We beat it in 16 minutes. We had:

Conjure Flame Barrage -me
Barrage
MM
Triple Axe+Cyclone Axe Warrior
LoD Monk
WoH Monk
2 SF Heroes

Im so happy.

Alright.... rules for Tahnnakai temple:

#1. AoE spells and Minion Hoardes are useful as ever... The enemies are numerous, and minions make good distractions for their more powerful spells and attacks, leaving you to blast them often unhindered.
#2. Elemental protection is very useful... especially fire resistance... (see next point).
#3. Don't combo-attack Temple Guardians if you can help it. Drop a heavy spell on them (or a heavy attack) and then move, as they will drop coals on the spot where you're standing. Keep an eye out for glowy effects on patches of ground and avoid. I died a lot until I figured this out. Keep reflagging the heroes and henchies if necessary (though with a minion hoarde, the coals should be quite sporadically thrown all over the place). As an additional note, I found they go down fairly quickly if tagged with Spiteful Spirit and Mark of Pain... especially when being attacked by minions... and since these are hexes, they don't need constant application, leaving the caster free to avoid damage areas.
#4. Wherever possible, isolate separate groups of enemies and destroy them separately rathering than assuming they're all one hoarde. Many of the rooms in the temple contain separate groups of enemies that can be kited apart and destroyed.
#5. Once you aggro the boss... take 'em down first. For the most part they can't do much to defend themselves against a full onslaught. This is both for the morale boost and to make getting to the next room faster eventually (shaves seconds off at least).
#6. Run between the areas. Either have a running skill with you... or a Fighter Henchie with "Charge!"...

Thats about all I've gotta say for now.
